My child attends the ridgeway location we have had nothing but problems all year with staff unprofessionalism, prior to the Christmas break we were not informed that the children return to school on last week no notice or anything today we were told that we have to pay tuition for the week before they also force the parents to pay in cash, one of the worst experiences I've ever had the teachers at this location also talk to the children badly

My daughter and I came into the school at[redacted], TN 38125 to enroll my grandson. The receptionist told us it would cost $232 the for entry fee and testing. We paid this amount and she gave us a receipt. She then asked if we had an enrollment packet and told us we had to pay the first month tuition and books which would cost over $900. Since we wasn't aware of this we told her we would have to bring it back tomorrow. She told us she would put the $232 in envelope with our name on until we brought the balance. The next day we changed our minds and enrolled my grandson in the neighborhood school. When we return for our money we were told their was no refunds. I told them that we were not informed that there were no refunds, its not written anywhere and we didn't even get a chance to fill out the paperwork. I suggest that they give my grandson the achievement test since we paid for it. My oldest daughter was going to enroll her son in the program too so I asked it they could put the amount toward his tuition. The coordinator said, sorry but they don't give refunds, they don't transfer funds to other students accounts and they don't test unless the child is a student.Desired Settlementreturn my $232Business Response Dear **.[redacted],I am responding to the complaint of [redacted].On August 5, 2014, I explained to **.[redacted] and her daughter that all CTCA initial fees ar non-refundable. all parents must pay a registration fee before enrollment packets are given. It is the parent's responsibility to read over all documents enclosed in their packets. Here I have attached the letter that I sent to **.[redacted] in an email to her complaint to me.

Hi, I brought my daughter to this school thinking that she will be involved in a private school who teaches about Christ. The principle and teachers will not acknowledge me as a parent. I have ask for several appointments concerning my child and learning ability. The teacher is steady giving her words and homework she is not grasping. Instead of making a plans for her, the teacher continue to move on and my daughter is not understanding. The principal is never there. They always say that she is sick or have to go to physical therapy. I have tried to move my daughter but no one will accept her. I am afraid they will claim she is doing very well to get the money. My daughter knows 4 words out of 40 and she has been in school since 8-10-2015. If they are having test in the classroom their giving her the answers. That's not helping her. I just found out on 9-22-2015 that they are just a day care not a school. The front they give is misleading.","neg-1

On August 1,2014,at approximately 10:30am, I went to my grandson's school to pay fees for registration, books and tests. No forms were filled out or signed. The total was $535.00.2 hours later, my daughter decided that she couldn't handle the monthly tuition fees, so I called the school about a refund. The secretary, Ms. [redacted], said she didn't see any reason why I shouldn't get my money back and transferred me to Ms[redacted], the accountant or bookkeeper, who in turn transferred me to the Principal, Mrs.[redacted]. A few minutes later, the secretary was back on the phone, informing me that I would not get ANY of my money back. I asked to speak to the Principal and was told she wasn't available. I asked that she return my call to discuss the matter, and to this day, Mrs.[redacted] hasn't bothered to call, dismissing me and the issue as if it's of no consequence. I called the District in Nashville that handles private schools and they said they have no jurisdiction over the financial matters.I have since filed a dispute with my bank to have my money returned to my account, but I want it known that this institution acted in a totally unprofessional manner by not discussing the issue and as far I'm concern, trying to steal my money.Product_Or_Service: school feesOrder_Number: naAccount_Number: naDesired SettlementI want the full $535.00 back and at this point, I do not want to have anything to do with that school. Mrs.[redacted] has been in the business for quite some time and should have known how to handle the situation. Business Response August 18, 2014[redacted] Revdex.com 3693 Tyndale Drive Memphis TN 38125Re Case # 4009850[redacted]Dear[redacted], I am responding to the complaint of[redacted]'s grandson attended [redacted] Academy since he was two years old. He attended the [redacted] location for three years and the [redacted] Park location for one year. He graduated from Kindergarten in May, I was not aware that her grandchild was returning to [redacted] for the upcoming 2014-2015 school year until the Mother of the child called to inform the staff , that he would be returning. During the school year, St. George's Independent school requested information for this child to register for the 2014-2015 school year. We sent the information to school as requested. The Mother called to check if the child's [redacted] certificate was still active. My staff informed the Mother since the child did not attend school this Summer, we had to report his attendance to [redacted]. lf she wants to ge1 recertified she needs to contact '[redacted]. 'Well, this made the Mother upset. On August 1, 20 4,[redacted] came to register her grandson for the 2014- 2015 school year In order to receive a registration packet the parents have to pay the registration fee. This is the school policy![redacted] paid registration book, and testing fees. She paid with a credit card in the amount of $535.00. She was given the Registration Packet and she told the staff that she would be bringing this back on Monday August 4, 2014, the first day of school. Later that afternoon,[redacted] called to ask for a refund. She stated, “her daughter" did not want him to attend the school and that decision made by her daughter was against her better judgment . My staff informed her at that time that we have a non-refundable policy.[redacted] more stated that she was aware of the policy and wanted to speak to me, Mrs.[redacted]. I was unavailable to speak to her at that time. I informed the staff that if she would like to meet with me, to please schedule an appointment. On August 12, 2014, I went to the [redacted] location to pick up the mail. At that time, I saw her complaint. I was very confused on why she would mail this complaint to [redacted] instead of [redacted] where her grandchild attended. The teacher and l have met with[redacted] and her daughter on several occasions this past school year. The school has always maintained a professional relationship with this family. Again, her grandchild was in our school for four years.I find this complaint to be misleading, false, malicious and slanderous.[redacted] is trying to defame my name and the reputation of the school because of the decisions that she made on her own.First, I have camera footage that shows that she swipes her own credit card and she left the school with the registration packet. No one forced her to pay anything. How is the school stealing her money? Secondly, I have the paper work for St. George's requesting records for her grandchild. She stated that her daughter could not afford the 'tuition but if you compare [redacted]'S tuition St. George's Independent School, St. George's is much higher. 'Third, my policy states that all fees are nonrefundable. However, she can pick up her grandchild 's books.Last but not least,[redacted] stated that she would be filing a dispute with her bark. I want her to know that she is filing under false pretense and [redacted] will be obtaining legal counsel, for these false allegations and slander. There are consequences when people feel they can slander you on any website or to the Revdex.com.Sincerely, [redacted]Executive Director
