To Whom It May Concern,I am writing in response to a complaint received October, 15 2015. We appreciate our patient’s concern• this matter. After several unsuccessful attempts to retrieve payment for services rendered, we werefinally able to resolve the issue with the insurance company.

Review: My daughter was seen by Dr. T[redacted] on 7-31-14; Dr. T[redacted]'s office has submitted the claim for the office visit to UPMC for You incorrectly 4 times. According to UPMC, Dr. T[redacted]'s office is past the 90 day resubmission period therefore, the claim will be denied for failure of the dentist office to timely submit claims. They keep sending me bills to pay $120 when this bill if it was submitted correctly would have been covered by our insurance company. Also, on the bills it says I will be charged a late fee starting 10/15/15. My son was also at the dentist on the same date and his claim was submitted and paid in a timely fashion, but they failed to process my daughters claim. The office staff has also threatened me with collections if this is not paid, but it was to be covered as a routine office visit under our insurance. I've called the office several times to resolve the issue and spoke with Amber and Sue. Dr. T[redacted]'s office refuses to contact Avesis (the dental provider) to find out how to properly submit a claim through the mail as I have told them on numerous occasions they need to do. They will only submit a claim online. I have also contacted UPMC to file a complaint against this provider.Desired Settlement: I would like to not have to pay the $120 bill because their office refused to call Avesis to ask how to properly submit the bill after it was denied. Their failure to follow up and contact Avesis is costing me $120. They also failed to follow up with the insurance company in the 90 day window after the claim was initially denied. They did not follow up with me either letting me know their was an issue with the insurance.
