I have been a long term customer and have always admired how Christian Brothers deals honestly when advising on expensive repairs Twice they had let me know repairs that were not urgent and have saved me from spending money on things not needed
That being said, I will share my most recent experience and let you judge for yourself I needed the dash light replaced and my air conditioning to be checked
I noted to each staff member that my door handle had a crack in it and to please deal gently because it could break easily Upon getting back in my car, my handle had been broken off and nobody had told me of this The service manager apologized and offered to fix it (Because another door handle had broken on my car previousIy I had extras at home ) I thanked him and told him I thought I had an extra at my house to which he said I could bring it back in that afternoon to be put on
I got in my car and noticed that the air was not any colder and assumed the repair was fruitless
I got home and noticed they didn't charge me the $for the freon I called and the manager stated it was on them He then changed his mind and said he would charge me for the handle replacement instead
I returned to the shop needing the door handle they broke replaced as well as a second handle This was going to be $for the hourly rate? It took them minutes and I had to pay them $to replace the handle they broke and that I provided
Surprisingly after I left my air started working great (I do know it takes time to charge and had driven long enough for that to have happened) I suspect they had forgotten to charge me as well as put the freon in before I left the first time
Sadly my dash light comes on and off as if it is in loosly When I called and asked if I could bring it in and if there would be a charge, I was told there would be an additional charge(It was $the first time)
My thoughts are that if you break something, you should at least tell the customer If you offer good service you will repair it
My other thought is that if you charge to do a job and it is not done right, you should not charge an additional fee to fix your mistake
