Christian Brothers Automotive (Jackson) Reviews (1)

Had service done said it would be 1500 and they said it would cost 4100 to fix. They charged me 1900. The work they said they did was not done I visited Christian brothers around the first of June. Had diagnostics done before that and they stated it would cost 1500 to fix. So I schedule service and then they call me and say. It would not be fixed unless I paid 4100. I could not afford the extra work so u decided not to argue and paid for the work they stated they completed. So I get another mechanic to look at the vehicle and they fix it for 1400 and it was the plugs that had not been changed out. I am legally blind so I guess they thought we would find out. I wonder how many people they are robbing fromDesired SettlementThey did not do the work they said they did. I want my money back Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@cbauto.netOriginal date of first diagnostic was 4/22/15 and the customer complaint FEELS LIKE ENGINE IS GOING TO DIE WHILE DRIVING.As if the vehicle is not getting gas. Mainly when going up a hill. Happens mostly at first crank. Check engine light is flashing. Symptoms have been occurring for approx a week.We diagnosed and found several misfire codes and a code for bank 1 sensor 1 lean on heat up.We recommended to do the tune up and fuel injection service as the misfire codes would be the first step. On 6/4/15 we did the tune up, oil change, and fuel service. The spark plugs and fuel filter were original equipment and were purchased from the dealer here in [redacted], ** and we have the invoice that shows that we did in fact purchase it from them. The other parts were bought from 2 other local vendors and we have invoice copies for that also.If the customer took it to another shop who then said that we did not install new parts on his vehicle why didn't he call us to get answers before paying them. The other shop pulled out brand new [redacted] plugs that we installed. The reason they thought it had not been done is because we used original equipment. They were mistaken and should have noticed because they would have appeared new when they removed them. I would question why shop #2 didn't notice they were new before installing new ones. Our warranty clearly states that our work is warrantied for 2 years/24,000 miles whichever benefits you most.I wish we would have had the opportunity to save the customer shop #2 work had he communicated with us. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)First of all plugs were never changed we looked at the plugs and they stated two broke when they changed them which is common in the expedition. They charged extra labor to change those out. They were not changed. If they would have done the work they said they did then I would not had to see a second mechanic. Second they wanted an additional 2400.00 to fix it. If they would have done the work they claimed it would have been fixed. Why would anyone go back to them. There is no mistaking new plugs for very old ones.
