Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11154293, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] The auction gallery misled the public by listing the item as a first edition because the book is a 12th printing as is apparent by the number line on the copyright page I am a book dealer and know how to identify a first edition They should have honored my return and refunded my money as would any other reputable auction house or book dealer They could have resold the book with the correct description I did not question their description since my expectation was that they knew what a first edition was if they were if this businessWhether they choose to return my money or not my complaint still stands I could not do this in my business or it would ruin my reputation Regards,

The auction gallery misled the public by listing the item as a first edition because the book is a 12th printing as is apparent by the number line on the copyright page.  I am a book dealer and know how to identify a first edition.  They should have honored my return and refunded my money as would any other reputable auction house or book dealer.  They could have resold the book with the correct description.  I did not question their description since my expectation was that they knew what a first edition was if they were if this business. Whether they choose to return my money or not my complaint still stands.  I could not do this in my business or it would ruin my reputation.
