My experience at the Christiana Dental Spa was incredibleFirst, I was late to my appointment, but they still let me come in and have the procedure doneI was due for a filling for my front tooth, which needed to be done for about a year or so nowI was worried that the procedure would be long and painful, but it was the complete oppositeThe whole procedure, including prepping, took about a half hour or minutesThey kept me calm the whole time, and informed me of every step before they undergone anythingI'm happy that my tooth is fixed, and I would definitely come back to get my other orthodontic work done

My search is over...my move to DE left me searching for a Good dentist...here I found great, superior, excellence on several fronts...I found Dr Linda's level of expertise, training and choice of practitioners to be A+Her affiliation and network of experts were impressive as I needed major early doneMost impressive is the conservative nature of the practice..nothing is suggested or pushed on you based on financial intererest..a big fault I found Dr with other practices before finding this onethe spa atmosphere, healthy snacks and herbsl b teas are a great touch

I had a year old gold crown fall off and it could not be saved
Dr*** and her staff helped me by creating a temporary crown which was replaced at a second visit with a new space age replacement that was created by a 3D printer in houseManuel, the very competent technician, took the measurements and while that was being done Dr*** filled a hole that she found in my lower tooth I didn’t want to say anything but she saw it and knew I needed it fixed She and her staff worked diligently so I would not have to come back for another appointment
Cassie pitched in as well so my work could be completed that afternoonDr*** also was aware of a bit of discomfort and immediately remedied itShe constantly asked if I was OK and comfortable Yes, the process took a long time but I have a new crown that matches my teeth and a filled tooth all taken care of at onceMy other visits have been for routine cleanings so this was an opportunity to see the latest innovationsWe moved to Newark, Delaware in and we were referred to this office by a neighbor I am glad we found it

This place really does care about their patients. I have been going through a tough time for the last 3 years with numerous medical issues which cost me my job and insurance. I broke a tooth that needs a crown, can't do it right now. Dr. Nguyen took care of it will a filling and also got me a cleaning and exam for a very reasonable price. The hygienist Vivienne was fantastic. I appreciate the kindness I was shown. They really do care about their patients here. I really recommend this practice.

When I first came to Christiana Dental Spa I had had the same dentist for over 15 years and had traveled over 75 miles one way for my visits every 6 months. So one could imagine that my expectations would be very high to say the least. My initial visit was excellent at Christiana Dental Spa! I was made to feel comfortable by Dr. Linda's staff: Dr. Yang, Kevin/Jasmine (admin) and Josslin (hygienist). Dr. Linda welcomed me to her office, Dr. Yang did a wonderful job on restoring and replacing my crowns, Josslin made my teeth feel and look brand new and Kevin and Jasmine was there to answer any and all questions I had regarding my appointment (s) and billing. My appointment are always timely and the staff always professional. When I told Dr. Linda I was having some difficulty with my insurance company she dealt with the situation immediately. Now that's service. Their team is AWESOME!

In response to the letter from the Revdex.com dated February 25th, 2015 regarding a complaint from [redacted], we do understand Ms. [redacted]'s concerns. However, dental insurance companies have their own opinions about what they will cover, and that amount of coverage is based on...

contracts; in addition, they are constantly changing their policies. As medical practitioners, we owe it to the patient to do what we feel is best for their oral and systemic health. We treat what we see, not what a company who has never seen the patient tells us to treat.When presenting a proposed Treatment Plan to a patient, there is a disclaimer on the form which states, "....insurance coverage is only an estimate. Guarantor is responsible for all treatment not covered by insurance." Ms. [redacted] signed her Treatment Plan.Clinical exam for Ms. [redacted] showed periodontal pockets of 4 and 5 mm in many locations with areas of bleeding. Periodontal problems are related to many things including oral hygiene, general state of health, medications and diet. While we did take radiographs, we limited the number taken  to what was necessary.  Some insurance companies require more (though they do not pay for them).oaen, radiographs do not/cannot show the extent of disease. Treatment was as follows: D4341: Periodontal  scaling and  root planing -four or more teeth per quadrant.  This procedure involves instrumentation of the crown and root surfaces of the teeth to remove plaque and calculus from the surfaces.   It is indicated for patients with periodontal disease and is therapeutic, not prophylactic, in nature.  Root planing is the definitive procedure designed  for removal of cementum and dentin.04355: Full mouth debridement to enable comprehensive evaluation and diagn spa amenities.removal of plaque and calculus which interfere with the ability of the dentist to perform a comprehensive oral evaluation. This preliminary procedure does not preclude the need for additional procedures.We did appeal to the insurance company and they responded on September 5, 2014 that they would put it through an internal appeals process and supply an answer within 30 days.  We received theirresponse on September 11, 2014 based on their criteria.  They stated, "Please note that the information in this letter is not a treatment decision.  Treatment decisions are made between you and your dental provider or health care professional.  Coverage for those services is subject to the terms and conditions of your dental benefit plan including exclusions, limitations, conditions and patient eligibility.  You are responsible for the deductibles, coinsurance, copayments and items not covered by the plans."  This statement is basically informing the patient that they were not making a treatment decision.We will be happy to see Ms. [redacted] again if she wishes to discuss any concerns; we share her frustration!  As a courtesy, we will eliminate the amount she owes.In addition to resolving the matter for Ms. [redacted], we submit this letter with the hope that our good stand ing with the Revdex.com will be reinstated.  Ifany additional information or supporting documentation is necessary, please let us know.

Let me start by saying, I am every dentists worst nightmare. I am grown and still terrified. At least until I found CDS. The spa atmosphere in the lobby, the vibrating chairs & quiet background music while you wait are all very relaxing. Also, Dr. L[redacted] understands that I am very nervous and makes every attempt to make me more comfortable. I recommend CDS to anyone looking for a pleasant dental experience.

This place is great! I found the environment to be beautiful. Also, the people here are friendly.

Review: I first began my invisalign process over a year ago. It was supposed to be a six month process. They made impressions of my teeth then sent them out to so they could be made into braces and they were supposed to call when they arrived. A month or two passed then I called to see if they were in yet. Not in, but they said the time span has been too long so my teeth have shifted and will not fit the trays anyway, so I had to go back in to have the same process repeated. This happened three times before the Dental Spa actually tried to make an attempt to track the progress from my braces arriving. (Actually, I was the one who kept calling them to remind them to check) The braces were finally installed January 2013, and taken off July 2013, and my teeth are still crooked. Not satisfied with the outcome, the time spent, and the cost. During this time frame I continually told the Dental Spa my treatment is not straightening my teeth and we need to re access the treatment. They kept reassuring me it was working and there was no need to refine the treatment. After my braces were taken off in July, my teeth were still crooked, and they made impressions of my teeth again to be sent out to have new braces made. At the end of August and again at the beginning of September I inquired about the length time it was taking, and they said they braces would be in in 3 days and they would call me. Now it is the end of September and I still do not have braces, nor a phone call. Today September 25, 2013, I called and left a message for the office manger to call me back. No call. I called 3 hours later, was put on hold for 10 minutes, then hung up on. I called back and finally spoke with someone, and they do not have any information about new braces for me or a date for arrival.Desired Settlement: I am not satisfied with the outcome, length of time this is taking, repeated trips, and lack of communication. I would like a full refund.
