Signed up daughter through city of Vacaville for classes for beginner riders ages 6-$for classes plus had to buy her helmetFacility niceHorses well taken care ofHowever, daughter only received approxmin riding on horse each classHad to share one horse with other childrenNot a lot of hands on learning with other children and only one horseOwner/instructor very condescending towards childrenNot patient, very harsh, negative language and gets frustrated easily with children who are learning and not quick on tasks or directions givenSeveral Safety concerns and I was shocked at how *** handled these incidentsHorse was pushed into my daughter by another child and daughters foot was stepped on by horseDaughter was upset and in pain for a moment, crying*** laughed it off and said "horse wasn't big it shouldn't have hurt." She had the other children (ages approx and 12) put on saddle together and tighten the buckle to the saddle*** failed to check it herself to assure it was on correctly During the first students riding lesson (male boy) the saddle started slipping because it was too lose and child began to slip off sideways while in a trotHorse became stressed and anxious prompting the reaction to start running with the boy knocking him off and then dragging him around arena*** finally got control of horse to stopBoy was shook up and appeared ok but pants were ripped from top to bottom of leg*** did not appear concerned instead laughed off the incident and made no apologies to boy or parents for the saddle not being properly fastened tightly or correctlyChalked it up to just "a part of the riding experience." My daughter was very shook up witnessing this event and was very hesitant to get on horse when it was her turnUpon leaving after lesson was over on last day, *** never thanked us for our business or encouraged us to return I do not think this is a warm or friendly place of business for beginner riders that the city advertises in the Vacaville city guide to sign up throughI *** treats her more consistent seasoned riders in a better manner? Will not be returning for riding lessons ever again hereMy daughter used to love to ride at other locations but since this experience she no longer feels confident in herself with a horseI will not tolerate an instructor who talks down and harshly to young children who are beginners and learningWith her very abrasive attitude and these safety concerns I do not reccommend this place to anyone with young children who want a positive learning environment to learn and have fun inThis is not the place!
