system that allows someone to choose their appointment based on the available slots in the calendar. On January 31, 2017, the client who filed the complaint in questions booked an appointment with us for February 3, 2017 at 6:30pm.On February 3, 2017, the day of her appointment, she notified us at 6:20pm by text that she would be 8 minutes late to her appointment (6:38pm). I promptly notified her that this was completely fine. However, by 6:40pm, she still had not arrived. At this time, (6:40pm) we attempted to contact her again by text and phone calls. A total of four text messages between 6:45pm-7:00pm were sent and we attempted to call her nine times between 6:40 pm-7:10pm. It is the policy of Christina Miller Beauty, LLC that 15 minutes after of an appointment time, we cancel the appointment and charge a no show fee. Our policy is clearly stated in both the email confirmation after booking an appointment online and in the day-of text each client receives. The no show fee is normally the total amount of the service scheduled for that appointment time. We require 24-hour notice for cancellation; however, since this was her first time violating the policy, we reduced the fee by half. We did not hear from her until 45 minutes after her scheduled appointment. She called and informed me that her phone had died but she was still in the area. I notified her that it was 45 minutes passed the appointment time and to stay on schedule with our other clients, we had to cancel her appointment and charge her the fee. I also explained that it was half of what we normally charge in this situation since it was her first time.We were informed by [redacted] that she called for a refund the day of her appointment (February 3, 2017) which she received February 4, 2017. The late fee was rightfully charged as she was not only apprised of our policies twice before her appointment but she did not show up on time or even within the late timeframe in which we were willing to take her (30 minutes after her appointment time).We pride ourselves on using fair and transparent business practices that are well communicated at the moment of booking and on the day of an appointment. I've attached the email this client received and the text message that was sent and replied to on the day of her appointment. She claims in the complaint to Revdex.com that she was charged twice for a service not rendered which is not the case. [redacted] refunded her the day of her scheduled appointment and we charged her according to our clearly outlined no show policy. The slot she booked could’ve easily been given to another client if the proper notice was given.Should anyone have any questions regarding the response to the complaint filed, please do not hesitate to contact me.
