This business advertised that it provided training for a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) course. Therefore I went there on Saturday the *** of October 2017 and spoke to the business owner who claims her name to be Christine and she stated that I needed to immediately pay a registration fee of $70 to secure a seat in the next class which she clearly stated was beginning in 2 days on Monday October *** 2017.

However on Monday I arrived for class that Monday morning and she then told me that there was no class and that she will call me when she gets the exact date of when the class would begin, however she again stated that it would definitely start that same week.

After I have not heard from her, I contacted her on Wednesday October *** 2017, she stated that she still doesn't have a date. I explained to her that when I first came she never mentioned that any of this would occur. I also clearly reminded her that when we first spoke that Saturday October ***, that I told her I am under a strict timeline and need this class immediately as I am moving out of state and need the certification before January *** of 2018.

I have attempted to contact her at least twice a week for the last few weeks and her answer is simply that the class is not starting yet. I then asked her to refund my money so I can go to another agency that is conducting classes as she never mentioned that she would be postponing the class. She refused by stating the money is non-refundable. However on Tuesday October ***, she asked me to call her by the End of Business day and she will give me a date of when the class would start. I called her however no one picked up. I called her again the following day and no one picked up and no voicemail could be left as it was full.

Therefore I went to her office on Wednesday October *** and spoke to her directly and again she refused to refund my money stating that it is non-refundable and she doesn't have enough students to start a class. This struck me by surprise because it was never mentioned by her prior to this. I then explained to her that if she cannot offer the service on the date that she advertised the service, then a refund becomes mandatory. In addition, I have given her enough time to correct this problem and she is unwilling.

I am then filing this complaint in order to get my refund from her as she has not been honest in her advertising of her services and disclosing that she had no students for this class when I first registered with her and only reveals this after 3 weeks on October *** 2017. She also stated that even if she had students she would no longer accept me as a student, which is in fact refusing to service a customer, therefore again making a refund mandatory.
