Review: Our first floor was washed away in Super-storm Sandy. On January **, 2013, [redacted], of Christopher Galvin Designs, took a $5,000 down payment from us (total job-$15,000) and told us we'd have our kitchen in 6-8 weeks. They finally showed up in May (four months after he took the deposit) after repeated phone calls and pleas, and several weeks of their lying, saying they would be starting on days, where we sat and waited for them and they never showed. Upon delivery of the cabinets they took $5,000 more and proceeded to install some cabinets which took the course of a full month. Many days they showed for a couple of hours and others not at all, again, leaving me sitting and waiting, wasting my days for nothing. After taking another $1,500 they stopped showing at all, leaving our kitchen half completed. They have not been here for a month now. They do not return messages. Their mailbox is now full. You can't even reach them! We have incurred thousands of dollars in additional costs in feeding our family of four over the past additional four months. We've paid for our children to eat breakfast and lunch in school, and we eat out or get take out daily. They are aware of all of this and it doesn't matter to them. It doesn't look like there is an end in sight, as we get no response from them. The storm was bad enough, dealing with this company is a nightmare on top of it. Six months and it's still only half done!Desired Settlement: The kitchen was supposed to be done by the end of March. So we'll even give it a month longer and say , okay, April. They should pay the cost for us to hire someone else to complete the job and pay us $4,500 in restitution for the additional costs of buying prepared foods for the last three months. That's $50 a day (which is about half the actual cost to our family) over the last 90 days. If they actually finished the job immediately, we'd forgo the restitution, just to get it done and be even.

Review: Company did a Shoddy job installing cabinets. They were supposed to come back and fix the job. That was over 6 months ago. No messages have been returned and the company does not pick up their phone. We will not have to pay additional money to someone else to finish the job.Desired Settlement: Finish the job or refund all the money. It was poor work and not bothering to finish is even worse. Company has ignored every request to come back and finish the job.

Its obvious that this company is a Fraud and took advantage of us during Hurricane Sandy
