Re Complaint #[redacted] ***Purchase date: 1/3/Dear Sir/Madam,I am writing in response to a complaint submitted to the Revdex.com regarding a refund requested by Ms [redacted] I am a plastic surgeon and Ms [redacted] consulted with me regarding her desire to undergo cosmetic surgery After a lengthy consultation Ms [redacted] elected to schedule and pay for this elective procedure via credit card Ms [redacted] signed our Financial Policy and paid her bill with her credit card This financial policy states that “If a surgery is cancelled days prior to the surgical date, Dr [redacted] ’s office is entitled to a $cancellation fee and a 3% credit card processing fee (if applicable) Any cancellation or rescheduling of surgery within days of the scheduled surgery date will result in forfeiture of ALL deposits towards any future surgeries.”Ms [redacted] ultimately cancelled her surgery within weeks of her scheduled surgical date and requested a refund Although our financial policy (to which Ms [redacted] agreed in writing) clearly elucidates our refund policy out of a gesture of goodwill I sent a check to the patient via US mail for a full refund Ms [redacted] sent the check back to me with a note asking for her credit card to be refunded without a 3% fee I subsequently called Ms [redacted] on separate occasions and left a voice mail each and every time Ms [redacted] never once called me back Ms [redacted] subsequently contested this credit card charge as fraudulent and I was asked for documentation regarding the legitimacy of my charge After submitting my documentation the credit card company agreed with me and denied the charge back. Finally, Ms [redacted] called me back last week I told her that although this was not in line with the financial policy that she signed, I was willing (and I did) refund her money in full on the credit card supplied Ms [redacted] was appreciative and aware that this refund could have been processed many weeks earlier if she had returned my calls and that the amount of this refund was in fact identical in amount of the check that I had sent her immediately after the cancellation of her procedure.Ms [redacted] has recently reported to me via email that she feels that this has been resolved to her liking.Sincerely, [redacted] * [redacted] , MD, FACS
Re Complaint #12111787[redacted]Purchase date: 1/3/2017 Dear Sir/Madam,I am writing in response to a complaint submitted to the Revdex.com regarding a refund requested by Ms. [redacted]. I am a plastic surgeon...
and Ms. [redacted] consulted with me regarding her desire to undergo cosmetic surgery. After a lengthy consultation Ms. [redacted] elected to schedule and pay for this elective procedure via credit card. Ms. [redacted] signed our Financial Policy and paid her bill with her credit card. This financial policy states that “If a surgery is cancelled 30 days prior to the surgical date, Dr. [redacted]’s office is entitled to a $500 cancellation fee and a 3% credit card processing fee (if applicable). Any cancellation or rescheduling of surgery within 30 days of the scheduled surgery date will result in forfeiture of ALL deposits towards any future surgeries.”Ms. [redacted] ultimately cancelled her surgery within 3 weeks of her scheduled surgical date and requested a refund. Although our financial policy (to which Ms. [redacted] agreed in writing) clearly elucidates our refund policy out of a gesture of goodwill I sent a check to the patient via US mail for a full refund. Ms. [redacted] sent the check back to me with a note asking for her credit card to be refunded without a 3% fee. I subsequently called Ms. [redacted] on 6 separate occasions and left a voice mail each and every time. Ms. [redacted] never once called me back. Ms. [redacted] subsequently contested this credit card charge as fraudulent and I was asked for documentation regarding the legitimacy of my charge. After submitting my documentation the credit card company agreed with me and denied the charge back. Finally, Ms. [redacted] called me back last week. I told her that although this was not in line with the financial policy that she signed, I was willing (and I did) refund her money in full on the credit card supplied. Ms. [redacted] was appreciative and aware that this refund could have been processed many weeks earlier if she had returned my calls and that the amount of this refund was in fact identical in amount of the check that I had sent her immediately after the cancellation of her procedure.Ms. [redacted] has recently reported to me via email that she feels that this has been resolved to her liking.Sincerely,[redacted] *.
