Review: It is not good business practice to charge and accept money for an agreed upon job, get paid in full, and not bother to complete the work promised to the customer.

Had kitchen remodeled and contracted this business for plumbing repairs, which included installation of sink and dishwasher. In April 2012 paid the contractor in full with their promise to return once kitchen cabinets were installed to put in the sink and dishwasher. Recently, spoke to owner and we agreed on a mutual date, Sept 13, 2013. Waited all day and the contractor never showed up or bothered to call with an explanation.

Tried to reach the contractor multiple times via phone, text, and voice mail messages, still no response. The last message left requested their response within a week as to whether or not they planned to finish the job. The agreed upon repairs included the installation of the kitchen sink and dishwasher, so if their decision was no, they would need to refund a portion of the paid invoiced amount. I also indicated that if I did not receive their response, I would file a complaint with the Revdex.com. As of today, they have not contacted me.

I also want to include the reason the repairs were needed in the first place was due to flooding in my home. I had to replace the entire kitchen floor including the joists and insulation under the floors, along with everything else.. The laundry area (washer) pipelines are connected to the kitchen area pipes, and they both run out into the main sewer line. The contractor had been working in the area for a few days. I asked if it was ok to run the washer and dryer, and he assured me everything was ok to run the washer and dryer. However, he had failed to cap off an exposed pipe in the kitchen area where the sink was to be installed! That evening as the washer was spinning (a large load) all of the water flooded out of the uncapped pipe onto my brand new kitchen floor! I wanted to scream! Ugh! The entire floor had just been replaced due to water damage! By the time I realized what happened, and stopped the washer, the water was everywhere! It had gone into the floor ducts, onto the carpets in the adjoining room, and underneath the floor to the insulation.=

I contacted the business owner right away to let him what happened. He came over within the hour and he apologized on the mistake. It was too late, the damage was done, and I was left to clean up a huge mess!Desired Settlement: I should be refunded at least $325.00, half of the total invoice amount of $650.00 which was paid in full. Obviously at this point I can no longer trust this contractor to finish the job. I will need to hire someone else to install the sink and dishwasher and I'm sure the cost will exceed the requested refund amount. I feel this is more than fair considering all that has happened!

I won't request payment on insulation repairs and the duct cleaning costs ($675.00) associated with the contractor’s mistake if the above-mentioned desired outcome is met. I would prefer a cashier’s check refund be mailed to my home as soon as possible.

I contacted the owner of the company because I was in the process of selling my house and needed some things updated. I needed some GFI outlets installed in the garage and kitchen. [redacted] arrived and installed the necessary GFI outlets. Also took a look at the other items that were done and made sure everything was done correctly. Ex Hose bib fastened, hand railing secured.

I would recommend him to friends and family.
