When the steering Knuckle was brought in for us to press in the bearing we told him this part is not under any sort of warranty because it was a part that he provided for us to install we told him it was $for us to install the bearing into the knuckle than he asked if
we would put the ball joint in also we told him it would be another $total of $in do this for him. The technician that worked on the installation of the ball joint is a ASE Master Certified Technician and used all the proper tools and has installed thousands of ball joint there may have been a manufacture defect before it was installed. There would have been a warranty if we would have provided the part our parts store would have given us a warranty and sent us a new one. We charged $to install the knuckle but did not charge the $we told him for the ball join. We feel we do not owe anything for the ripped ball joint because it was not a part that we would have had a warranty on it was the consumers part

I am rejecting this response because: He never said his work was not warrantied, that is a lie. I inspected both of the parts when I received them, before I brought them to himIf the boot had been torn the "ASE certified technician" would not have attempted to installed itHe tried the same line when I picked it upHe is wrong, it was installed incorrectlyIf his technician would like to know what he did wrong I will be happy to inform him. I realize accidents happen but he should make it right
