I am rejecting this response because: The gentleman is not telling the truth and I have witnessesFirst, a friend of mine was with me when I first looked at the carThe proprietor of the business said the car had been in a "minor fender bender," which is obviously not the case considering the information that has since come to lightI also have a witness who can back me up that one of the Chrome employees promised to pay for the keyAs for driving over a pothole, that was the Chrome employee's self-serving explanation but it isn't the truthThe initial repair work they did was so shoddy that it came apart within an hour of my picking up the carI drove over no potholesThe reason their repair work was so sorry is that they in essence put a bandaid on some major structural issues that were not revealed to me by the company, that I only discovered by consulting with a mechanic and later a body shopWhen I called the company to report this, the woman on the phone said that the manager was out of the country for a few weeks and that I could only speak to him, also that since I had already paid for the car there was nothing they could do about itSo much for their willingness to cooperate. They are obviously a very dishonest company and need to be taken to task for their disregard for consumers' rights

This is in response to the complaint filed against Chrome Motors by Mr. [redacted] on 10/5/2016.On August 31, 2016, Chrome Motors sold a 2011 Honda Civic to Mr. [redacted]. On that same day, he took possession of the vehicle. I personally explained the condition of the vehicle to him at...

the time of the sale. Two hubcaps were missing and the tail light cover had a small crack. We replaced the tail light cover and installed two new hubcaps.About a day after purchasing the vehicle, Mr. [redacted] called our office to inform us that the fender was loose and the hubcaps were cracked. As a courtesy, I immediately sent one of our staff to Grandview to assist him.Our staff member told me it appeared that Mr. [redacted] had driven over potholes. The fender lining - not the fender itself - was loose and the hubcaps were torn.As a courtesy, we again ordered and installed two new hubcaps and a new fender lining. This service was provided at no additional cost to Mr. [redacted].As to the issue of the key, we never promised to provide a remote key or an extra key.We have not misrepresented any facts to Mr. [redacted], and his complaint is unnecessary. He could simply have called our office and we would have been willing to address his concerns.Sincerely,M. [redacted]

Enclosed are what I consider relevant information regarding my complaint against Chrome Motors. Included are the latest body shop estimates, photographs taken at the body shop that illustrate the full extent of the damage, mechanic receipts, receipts from Chrome Motors, and a couple of signed witness statements. The most recent mechanic to look over the vehicle, who actually took it apart to survey the full extent of the damage and who is responsible for the enclosed estimate, described the vehicle as, and I quote, "a piece of junk." If called upon, he is willing to swear that the damage occurred prior to my driving the car off the lot. I hope that we are able to resolve this matter fairly and that Chrome Motors isn't allowed to get away with this deception.Thank you for your time, your interest, and your dogged pursuit of the truth. Sincerely,[redacted]

[redacted] It is unfortunate that Mr. [redacted] accuses us of being dishonest.  I disclosed the condition of the car to Mr. at the time of his visit.  I fixed what he requested to have fixed (tail light, hubcaps, etc.). If the car had other problems as Mr.  claims that it did, assuming that his claims accurate, I was not aware of it; otherwise I would have disclosed it. It was Mr. responsibility to have the car inspected by his own mechanic before deciding to purchase it.With regard to the key, we discussed but never made any promise. However, if he agrees, I am willing to reimburse him for the cost of the key at $100, which is what he claims to have paid for it.Again, I am sorry you feel disappointed. SincerelyChrome Motors
