Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram of S. Savannah Reviews (%countItem)

Recently purchased a used truck at a value almost at cost of a new one because they had the spec we wanted. After several times of bringing and leaving the vehicle there to have detail / liner done and having the vehicle maybe 1-2 days in a 8-9 day span to correct issues, it wasn't completed properly as agreed and brought into dealership again and was told it was done and nothing was done to it at time of pick up. Had to go out of town and told them I would bring it back the following week and drove less than 100 miles and loss acceleration power with a electronic throttle light and towed back home in Savannah then towed back to dealership. General Manager finally got involved and said he wasn't tracking our issues after asking sales team repeatedly to speak to him, but he seemed genuinely concerned to resolve and stated "we failed this customer" and promised to get payment for lost wages/tow reimbursements/first car payment/repair truck/new tires/fix liner/oil changes and the only item that finally was done was the liner after approx 22 days after purchase and 20 days at dealership to resolve issues. The truck was dropped off at residence with no work order paperwork to prove any repair for the electronic throttle issue had taken place and notice that they didn't install new tires but just rotated them, any legitimate business provides paperwork of repairs. The truck that day it was dropped off was driven to Florida the same day and at approx 115 miles into trip received the same electronic throttle light and loss of power. I am at my wits end and prepared to file complaints to the proper federal and state agencies for investigation and retain a consumer protection attorney. This dealer also left my private consumer credit app face up on a desk in the showroom and it was not in control of the person who was responsible for it, he had walked away from the desk.

I purchase a vehicle 2014 Toyota Camry to be exact from Autonation who is currently now called *** on Feb. 22, 2018. I was so grateful to have Global Lending Services as my lienholder/lessor. As I purchase this vehicle I notice that the front locks doesn't lock. I have to lock them manually by hand. I was told to go to Service and make an appointment which I did and services was schedule 3 days later after I purchase the vehicle at 8 am. I arrive at 745 left my car and caught a ride to work. Around 530 pm I called Autonation and could never get through to Service. I got to Autonation around 630 pm to pick up my car and was told that nobody had a chance to look at it because the company was in a meeting all day and that they have been brought out, but someone was going to contact me. Weeks have past and I called Autonation and I was told that there's was nothing that they could do because they are no longer Autonation and told me to called the one in Savannah, Ga. My boyfriend called and they ask if I was going to pay for it and being that I told the sale person at the time ( Mr.) that Autonation was responsible for it. Now that's the first problem. They giving me the round around and still nothing. Ok, now while we calling about my doors it was time for me to make my first payment (March 24) so I called my lienholder/lessor Global Lending Services and they tell me that my offer was rejected because my paperwork was never sent. So soon as I get off the phone I call Autonation and they tell me that they can't help me cause ALL my information was sent to the one in Savannah off Abercorn to Mr. Nelson Martenize. He was so rude and seem like he didn't care and that my situation wasn't important to handle. Ever time I called he either was always business or with a client but never responded to my messages until about the 3rd day but I had to call the Autonation in Brunswick and they transferred me to him and he informed me that I needed to resend him my income information and proof of resident and I needed to come and resign some paperwork. I told him I had to work in the morning and I wasn't going to be able to come until the first week of April ( this was March 26) so he insist that he will come to me but never did and I didn't hear anything from him until 2 days after that day when he ask if I can email it to him which I did and I ask him if he can call or email me back which he didn't. I call Autonation April 10 to see what was going on but the operation or who ever answers the phone when you press 0 said that he was busy can I leave a message which I did like I have always done but never get a response. So my boyfriend calls as soon as I hang up and the operator answer and tells him he's busy and ask for a name and number. Not even a minute later Mr. Nelson calls him back my boyfriend ask whats going on with my car and he informs him that corp. is dealing with the situation. Now during all this time we have been calling corp. and leaving messages but still haven't got a response. April 8 my tag expired and I called the tag office and ask did they receive my tag cause it haven't come in the mail. I explain my situation to her and she told me that if I bring my papers from Autonation and proof of resident that they will issue me another tag but I will have to go to the dealer and tell them to send off my information so that they can issue out me a tag. That was on a Wednesday. I went on a Friday to get my tag and explain my situation again to the clerk and she gave me another temporary tag and got Mr. Jeff Chapman the tax commissioner and he told me to file Theft by Conversion. Its been almost 3 months since I got my car and nobody is telling me anything. I paid 3000 down and when I walked out of Autonation I had a lessor and I have a contract. I have a car that I haven't made a payment for. I feel like even through the company got brought out they should of finish with the business they had with me. I was ans still am a customer.

On Friday Jan 19,2018 my 2012 Dodge Journey cut off on me while driving. I was able to get my truck back started but soon as I pulled off the truck would cut off again not only was it shutting off but the radio and dash lights would stay on an not go off like it should. I tryed this maybe 5-10 times thinking I could make it home as I was close but it kept cutting off but not off. I got to safety an called for a tow. I called Auto Nation in Savannah ga and spoke with *** once I got home I had to leave the truck on the side of the road as I had to get my Special Needs son off the bus. I explained to her in great detail what my truck had done and that I would get it towed there soon as I can get it there. I tryed over the weekend as my tow got to my truck hours later on friday but I tryed again samething happened so I got the truck to them Monday Jan 22. I explained over again to *** what was going on and that my battery is dead because it would not cut the radio or dash lights off. So I call on Thursday to see what going on an they tell me they replaced my battery and done a diagnostic test on my truck and it cost $291. Wait 1st of all no one called me to discuss anything with me before they touched my truck. I told *** take that battery out of my truck because I had my Battery checked and that was not the problem. So she says well your battery was dead an we need a battery to do the test. I respond so your a service department and you don’t have test batteries for that. I got silence from her *** then she says they said you had a bad cell in it. I’m not understanding how I have a bad cell all of a sudden it’s dead because the truck not completely turning off. That’s bull crap. I go to pick up my truck an myself and my fiancé ask a slew of questions like are you sure it’s nothing else no engine no alternater nothing else but the battery. *** says yes I’m sure we checked everything and nothing comes up. From Thursday to Saturday it worked and Sunday Jan 28, 2018. I was getting it towed again! Again I was told by *** we will do another test on it to figure this out. I’m very very very upset at this time and I ask how the hell all can’t figure out what is wrong with a product that you make and service everyday I’m pretty sure this isn’t the first time you had a truck with the problem because I researched the company. I got silence again from ***. I call back an recommend that they may need to reprogram my keys to the vehicle. *** states yes your right bring in the spare key so we can program them. From Jan 28-Feb 5 I’m without a vehicle not to mention I’m a traveling nurse an I have lost a great deal of money from this. I get a call to pick up my truck again and I’m told again everything is fine no more problems then Boom feb 6 towed back to the dealer. Get a call today an mysteriously codes a popping up and it gonna cost me $400 + dollors to fix my truck!!! Heck No!! I am very displeased with this companies service department the staff the manager which she did not give me her name may I add! An I’m still without my truck and losing MONEY!!! I need results and I should not be charge for there screwup. I feel as though the service department is worthless and they need more training in finding the problems of a product they work on on a daily bases. I will have my Lawyer step in if I have to. From reading reviews *** has been the number name all the time. Hhmmm

My truck was brought to this dealer for shifting issues and I was told that it needed a computer and reprogram, carrying a cost of $2500 after labor. After getting my truck back from them and they said it was “good to go” very soon after it had the same issue. I then took it to another shop where the issue turned out only to be the 2 sensors on the body of the transmission at a small cost of $250 so along with a MAJOR mis diagnosis by the Dodge dealer they also did not complete to computer programming and is still not done!! I called well over 10 times and spoken to probably almost every person in a position of power only to be dismissed and told I would receive a call back but never EVER did.

In February 2017 Mr. 2012 Ram 2500 was brought to AutoNation CDJR S. Savannah with a complaint that the transmission would not pull. We performed initial diagnostics and found a fault code (P0731) which indicated "Gear Ratio Error in 1st". The factory diagnostic steps were then followed that led us to the faulty Engine Control Module. During the diagnostic process all sensors were checked as well and functioning properly. It is our position that all repairs performed were within factory guidelines and procedures. I would be happy to meet with Mr. and the technician that performed the work.

Sincerely

I would be happy to have a meeting with the customer and technician to review FCA's diagnostic procedures to ensure everything was done in accordance with factory procedures and guidelines.

this is by no means exceptible. As I live in MT my Dodge dealer has already confirmed all the things I stated and as your Revdex.com grade is incredibly poor! I’d suggest making this right and I don’t mean making anymore empty verbal responses. If you decide that having a conversation like to be a “professional “ business and call me *** and maybe we can come to an agreement. If not I will have to peruse other more drastic options!

I am rejecting this response because:

They had me sign all the paperwork on the Dec 23rd with the wrong VIN# and I was promised a truck on Dec 26th... long story short my truck was not delivered and I was told that the truck had been sold and they needed more time to find another truck... I then asked for a loaner vehicle until I got my truck and they declined to provide one and also declined to reimburse me if I had made other arrangements... The sales manager “***” made everything seem as if there was nothing he could do and I jus had to wait on his schedule... I then preceded use profanity as I was highly upset and he got mad and ended the call.

On 12/23/2017 Mr. selected a vehicle not in our inventory. We proceeded to do paperwork (as is standard procedure). When we were able to contact the other dealer on 12/26/2017 (due to the holiday)they informed us the vehicle was sold. We then found a similar truck on 12/27/2017 and informed Mr. the previous vehicle had been sold, however, we were able to secure an alternate vehicle. We also offered Mr. that we would deliver the vehicle and paperwork to his home in Augusta GA. Mr. demanded a loaner truck so he could move. We informed Mr. that we do not have the ability to do that. Mr. then insisted we pay for a U-Haul to which we declined. We made every effort to accommodate his needs, however, when a customer selects a vehicle not in our inventory we are at the mercy of the other dealers willingness to accommodate our customer's time schedule. I followed up with Mr. as well on 12/27/2017 just to make sure he wanted to cancel the transaction and he said yes. We cancelled the transaction.

I reject due to the fact this dealership wasted my time and made me sign the wrong paperwork for another vehicle and continued to lie to not only me but the salesperson who was working with me. My salesperson has no clue my vehicle was sold. For whatever reason he was unaware is not my fault but at the end of the day they did nothing to accommodate for me not having the truck I supposedly purchased that took 4 hours out of my day at your dealership negotiating. My salesman told me a date the truck should be there and low and behold it was not there on that date. I then asked the dealership for assistance until I got my truck and they declined in my opinion is horrible customer service because if I am willing to spend my money purchasing a vehicle from you I would at least like to know they in return if my vehicle ever does malfunction or need service from the dealer that they would be willing to not inconvenience me by taking my vehicle in without provide me a temp vehicle. The worst part of the complaint is when the sales manager got very sarcastic and pushed me to a point where as I had to use absurd language to get him to understand my side of the arrangement. He acted very unprofessional and basically told me I would get the truck pretty much when they decided to go pick it up and release it over to me. He also complained about he was short on drivers to go get the truck as if that was supposed to be my fault. Long story short no one at that dealership besides my salesman Mr Andre showed any type of concern or care about me receiving my truck. I took a 2 hr drive to go get the truck that’s it was gon take them a full week to go get and they feel as though the provided great customer service, I don’t think so. The experience as a whole was very poor and someone needs to do some retraining on there staff to learn how to treat a paying customer. I got what I wanted in the end regardless but that doesn’t erase the fact that it took for one particular dealership to treat me like trash while the other dealership was very happy for my business and delivered everything as promised. I know I’m not the only person this dealership has mistreated and it shows in the rating of a D+ on this website and as I stated before, had I would have known that I would have never went in there but trust and believe that I will go out of my way to make sure everyone I cross will know how bad of a dealership this is until they decide to treat their customers better than what I encountered.
