top of the engine that we did not see during our initial inspection. This may be from the valve cover that was removed during the water pump replacement. We have since offered the customer $500.00 in goodwill money toward any future repairs the customer wishes to address. We feel we did due diligence in the sale and subsequent follow up in a vehicle sold "as is". [redacted] purchased a 2012 VW Eos from Chuck Olson Chevrolet on 1/06/2017. Since the purchase the vehicle has 6,788 additional miles in 6 months.Mr. [redacted] communicated to Carlos A, our sales manager that the 2012 VW Eos was at Karmart Volkswagen in Burlington with a failed waterpump.Chuck Olson's service manager, James G spoke to Mr. [redacted] to clarify the diagnosis done by KarMart, the dealership Mr. [redacted] brought it to. The water pump had been replace prior to the sale to Mt. [redacted] as part of our pre-sale vehicle inspection. The work was performed by Campbell Volkswagen in Shoreline.Mr. [redacted] did not want to cooperate with James G to determine if the current problem was warrantable by Campbell Volkswagen. He insisted Chuck Olson' should pay for Karmart's suggested repairs without the opportunity to validate the diagnosis, which we declined.We are more than happy to facilitate communication between Karmart and Campbell Volkwagen to see if the diagnosed problem is accurate and if so to determine if the prior repair is warranted by Campbell Volkswagen.Greg OGeneral ManagerChuck Olson Chevrolet
