Spoke to Mr [redacted] by phone, 12/21, 1:PM.Mr [redacted] says on a number of occasions, he attempted to take his can into the dealership for various issues, some of which he felt were more serious in nature, and made the van unsafe to drive.He says that he was essentially refused service on these occasions; that the dealership was unwilling to attempt to diagnose and repair issues.Since writing his original letter, Mr [redacted] seemed to indicate having traded the Windstar in on another vehicle.His 'desired outcome' in this case is somewhat unclear, but he says he feels he was not given much in trade for the vehicle, in part because of vehicle issues he was denied an opportunity to address
Not having received response to date, called Chuck Spaeth Ford to get business response -- spoke to Chuck Spaeth.Mr Spaeth explained that the dealership has worked with Mr *** over the years to attempt to keep him in a working vehicle, often on a 'goodwill' basis when Mr *** could not afford to pay for repairs.On the Windstar, he says that Chuck Spaeth Ford has tried to give Mr *** good advice over time on repairs that may not been totally necessary, knowing that the affordability of repair work could be an issue.He says Chuck Spaeth Ford will continue to work with Mr *** in good faith in the future, but will not be able to provide further financial consideration on the van at this time
