At the time if installation, I advised [redacted] he needed to remove the window in his roof because a window sitting in a flat roof will leak He adamantly refused insisting it stay as it was the only source of natural light in that room Against my recommendation, I proceeded at the customer's request, and now he has a leak Per our conversation regarding July 19, 2014, I told him I would try to stop by if my schedule allowed it that day I left for vacation shortly after that and will not be returning until August 4, At that time, I will contact [redacted] to see if there is a leak in the actual roof However, as stated before, any leak from the window was caused by the customer's insistence it remain in place against my recommendation Therefore, I should not be liable for such damages

He is completely wrong about where the leak isIt is NOT the window on the flat roof in the 2nd floor bathroomThat window never had any leakOn the contrary, the one that is leaking is the one that leaked when he was working on the roofThat time he claimed it was the wind blowing off the cover that caused the leak, and he said he fixed itOnly eight months later, the same window leaked againI'm tired and sick of having to cut open the ceiling in the bedroom againI'm even more tired of trying to contact him many times to get an appointment, wait for him to show up, and he never appear, without a single word of explanation
I found his arrogant attitude toward customer extremely disturbingWithin eight months of completion of the job, the roof leaked three timesThe window in the bathroom that he said prone to leak actually didn't leakWhere did he find his arrogance with such a lousy record? Without even knowing what the problem is, he just blindly blamed the leak on me in the response.
He needs to come to seriously check the problem, keep his appointment with customer or give a notice if cannot make it, like a professionalThe 10-yr workmanship warranty in the contract comes with responsibilities, they're not just a bunch of words

To clarify, once again, I did not have an appointment with *** *** I told him I would attempt to get to his house before I left for vacation if my schedule allowed, which it did not Furthermore, in regard to being arrogant I was simply stating that if the flat roof window was the cause of the leak I was not liable as my recommendation was to remove it I believe I did state that if there was any leak caused by the roof it would be fixed I'm sorry if *** *** is having a difficult time understanding this I did, however, visit *** *** on August 5, to investigate the problem as I said I would He had two leaks; neither caused by the roof The first leak in the hallway was from his shower The second leak in his bedroom originated from an exterior window that has rotted wood and needs to be replaced In fact, the wood was so rotten my hand was able to go straight through the exterior of the house to the interior
I hope this issue has been resolved to ** *** liking There is nothing more I can do to solve his problem as it is not a roofing issue
