Review: Dear representatives of The Revdex.com of New York,

I hope you are doing well.

I’m writing to you because I would like to file a complaint against Church Avenue Car Service. I called them on February **, 2015 around 7:19 am because I needed a ride from [redacted] to The * train in Church Avenue. The closest subway station is around 10 minutes from the house if I walk to this station from [redacted] but this particular day was extremely cold and I needed to work as an interpreter in a training seminar that morning.

When we called them the first time, they told me that they were going to pick me up in just 5 minutes. They never showed up to pick me up even I called them many times from my cellular phone. I waited for them around 47 minutes while I was calling every 4 minutes but they never showed up even they promised me several times that they were going to show up. This taxi company is not far from the house.

I arrived around 34 minutes late to my interpretation assignment and as a result I ended paying $22 Dollars with my credit card to travel from [redacted] to [redacted] in Brooklyn with another taxi company.. They have already started the training seminar without me and I was very ashamed when I arrived there.

I’m an interpreter,translator and editor. I had an interpretation assignment for a training seminar in [redacted] and I took the taxi because was extremely cold that day. They were not supposed to fail me that morning and make me waste this expensive amount of money in another taxi ride.

I took the other taxi company to the interpretation assignment location otherwise; I would have ended arriving over one hour late to work. I arrived late to work because of them and this caused me a lot of inconveniences with the client of my client.

I would like the reimbursement of the $22 Dollars that I spent in the other taxi ride because they failed to pick me up even they promised to do it many times. I called them several times and I requested the taxi [redacted] to call me to discuss this but he never called me. They are very rude. I don’t know why they behave like this.

Thanks. [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like to get the refund of $22 Dollars that I paid to the other taxi company to travel from [redacted] to [redacted]. They never showed up to pick me up even they promised me around 15 times over the phone. I waited for them from 7:19 am to 8:04 am and I ended traveling with another taxi because they didn't honor their promise.

My plan was to travel from [redacted] to Church Avenue to catch the * train to York Street because of them I ended traveling by taxi all the way down to [redacted] and this cost me $22 Dollars.

I called them several times and I requested the taxi [redacted] to call me to discuss this matter but he never called me. I had problems with the client of my client because of them.

Review: I called for a cab from my house to Newark airport. The company quotes me $70, a high price but being in a rush to catch my flight, I accept. When I arrive at my destination and hand my credit card over for payment, the driver says I owe him $80 and that they don't accept credit cards. It is on their website that they accept credit cards - there is also Visa/Mastercard accepted logo INSIDE THE CAB on their own brochure stating it is accepted - and I told him I was quoted $70, which he refused to honor. The driver tells me that I should have told the dispatcher I would be paying with a credit card. I said the dispatcher never asked how I would be paying, and to please take my payment and let me go because I had a flight to catch. He refused to take my payment. I attempted to open the car door and leave. He LOCKED the door and became aggressive! I told him again that I don't have cash with me and to take my credit card payment or let me go. He takes my credit card out of my hand BY FORCE, does not return it when I ask,, and pulls out his phone to run a charge of $85.00 plus tax. Not only is this price $15 higher than what they quoted me, the driver charged this amount without my consent, AND locked me in his car with my credit card in his hand. This was scary and unethical!! Not to mention, it looks like they DID accept credit cards after all.Desired Settlement: Refund $15, since I was quoted $70 and billed $85 against my will by being LOCKED in a car with my credit card in the driver's hand who refused to return it!!! This company should also not be allowed to advertise the fact that they accept credit cards if they refuse to take a credit card payments!
