Church Of The Saviour Early Learning Center

To whom it may concern,
The complaint against Church of the Saviour Early Learning Center's camp is unfounded and filled with untruthsFirst of all if your son never attended the camp, how can you say that the staff treated you unprofessionally? Again, if your son never attended the camp, how can you say that we have teenagers watching the children? These accusations are not true and can be proven with staff recordsAlso, she was only in the center once long enough to pick up paperwork and look at the classroomDuring my experience with this person, not once did I ever have an uncivilized conversation with this potential clientAs a matter of fact I didn't know she had a problem with our policy until l received her letter from the Pastor of the Church
Our summer camp is very popular and we always have a waiting list for enrollmentOnce we are at capacity, we no longer accept campers and we start a waiting list for interested clientsThis particular client knew all of this when she asked for the space in our campThere is a $activity fee to secure the spot along with a $nonrefundable application feeThis potential client did not have the entire balance due but wanted the space so she asked if she could pay in two installments and I obligedOn the paperwork that this potential client received stated that we must be notified two weeks in advance in order to receive a refund of moniesOur camp started June 5, and I did not hear from the potential client until June 11, At this point there was no way to enroll a camper in that spot because anyone looking for a camp had already found one by this time therefore we would not be receiving money for a space that could have been filled earlierAt that time she was informed that she would not be eligible for a refund; we talked a little longer about the circumstances and we hung up on a good noteShe was not rude nor was I so I was very surprised when I received the copy of the letter

The potential client was informed of the rules of the center by me and the board president, but when she did not hear the answer she wanted she began to threaten us with bad mouthing the center (that she never attended), calling a lawyer and whatever else she felt at the timeI was instructed by the board president to mail her another copy of the paperwork that she received that states that we must , be notified two weeks in advance in order to receive a refundShe also knew that there was a nonrefundable $application at the time of enrollmentTherefore, what this client is asking for is $when she actually owes us another $We were and are willing to take the loss of the $62.50, and that is as far as we're willing to go with this situation

As I stated in my letter dated: 6/11/15 Later that evening I received some disturbing news which in return I was not going to be able to  send my son to the camp as previoulsy planned. So I called Pat the very next day to inform her of that Also TAKE NOTICE OF RECIPT dated May 22, 2015, I had every intention on sending my son to there camp HOWEVER later in the evening on June 10 that all changed due to no fault of my own.  And for this reason I would think that CHURCH OF THE SAVIOUR Would understand that things do happen out of our control ( its called LIFE)  and due the right thing and REFUND me my money.

I have never met Pat D[redacted] in person I have only spoken to her on the phone which was not easy to do she would never return a phone call even after I left several messages with her unprofessional staff they would tell me to just continue to keep calling back for her. Upon picking up paperwork/dropping off paperwork I did visit the classroom as to where the children would be and I observed two female teenagers in the room one of them had her feet up on the table and the other didnt even greet me upon entering the room not even a Hello How can I help you and there were about 10 kids in the room waiting to be picked up by there parents I proceded to introduce my self as a possible new client(however at this point I am not impressed with what I see) the teenager started to talking telling me that althought this is the first week of camp our school transportation bus is down and not working so thats why we are in this room right now(again not impressed) also My son last day of school was not till June 10th so there was no way he could have started this camp on the june 5th which was explaned to Pat D[redacted]. I was referred to this camp from Starting Point and I have also wrote a Letter to them to explain the isssue that I have been having with them and asked them to not refer any more parents to this Site. THis is excatley why i am due a REFUND MY SON NEVER ATTEND THIS CAMP. all I did was fill out paperwork and they had more than enough time to call someone on the waitng list to fill this spot(*they just didnt want to) for what ever reason. As far as the Board of Directtors is concered she was also given messages to call me back and after a month she finally called me back WOW again unprofessional. The only reason I reached out to the Pastor of the Church is becasue Pat D[redacted] and Pat C[redacted]-Board of Director would not call me back. I guess they thought that I would go away quitley and not pursue this. WRONG I AM A SINGLE PARENT and dont have money to just GIVE AWAY.. I am requesting a full refund of $62.50. I have never mention anything about a Attorney to Pat D[redacted]. Regards,[redacted]

The Director Pat D[redacted], maintains the consumer is not entitled to a refund. [redacted] was aware of the $25.00 non refundable registration fee and received the camps refund and late fee policy. Ms. [redacted] decided after the close of registration not to use the centers services for her child.
