Review: Unethical hook up to my truck. Paid for release.

I pulled into a 3 entrance driveway to a parking area, between two different doctors' offices. I have been using this doctor more than ten years, at the same location as the incident. I was in the office for less than 15 minutes to deliver paperwork to my doctor and I returned to the parking lot to find a tow truck driver attempting to tow my vehicle. The driver stated that I was parked in an unauthorized space. I asked the operator to just give me a warning but he said it was job to tow my truck away. His boss let him unhook at a fifty dollar charge.Desired Settlement: I have already been informed by my doctor's office that a refund of my $50 "fee" has been made. An apology from the business owner and driver is in order. Furthermore, a change in practice should be initiated immediately. The behavior exhibited by the driver could be characterized as someone preying on unsuspecting customers. This could be an extremely dangerous business practice against patients whose health is frail, not to mention how unethical it is!

Review: My 1996 Dodge truck was towed at the Rematito off of Crowslandind in Ceres, CA. On 09/29/2013

On 09/29/2013 My 1996 dodge ram crew cab was towed at the rematito in Ceres, CA in their own parking lot. Their were no signs anywhere in sight or around the area that I was parked at That said my truck would be towed. I had parked at the edge of the parking lot and the truck had gotten towed. I had asked the Tow truck driver why he was towing my truck, he said it was because I passed a white line in the parking lot.

When I went to get my truck out I was dealing with the owner [redacted] at Chuys Towing. I asked how much it was going to be to get my truck out because there was absolutely no price lists of how much it cost for service anywhere in their office.[redacted] said it was going to be 190.00 for the tow. I asked if that was their normal rate of charge, he said no, It depends if the tow is public, private contract or hourly, he said my truck was towed on private property so it was under a private contract tow ,which has a minimum charge of 190.00. My complaint is that Chuy's Towing are bulling the customers at The Rematito and are going into the parking lot and towing vehicles for no reason other that trying to make money on their tows. I paid 190.00 in a form of credit card.Desired Settlement: I am looking for a refund in full of the amount paid 190.00. because there was no Merritt for the tow. I don't know if Chuys Towing is a sister company of El Rematito and are working together to scam and make money on innocent customers. Or if they are even allowed on private property to roam on their free will.

I am [redacted] from Chuy's towing regarding of because this case, [redacted] was parking in double line taking two spaces we have the photos and we have the sigs in the sings explaining people before they go inside the property, but people don't respect the property and we have to do our work. we don't give any commission to the owner of the property, so the part that he explains we are a sister company is a false statement. also he didn't explain the part that he calls he was harassing the employer and also when he came to get his car, the next day had a police officer that we find out that was related to him to call our business to intimidated us saying our business illegal, also the point that he explain that we bully people don't make sense because we our just doing our job.

I [redacted] do accept their response only because I spoke with a lawyer about the incident and was told that it would be in my best interest not to seek legal action. Because my truck was towed from private property there really isn't much I can do. Chuy's towing in reality doing whatever they want. I will never do business again at El Rematito.
