Dear sirs,The complain entered by ** *** is completely without merit base on the following reasons:As clearly stated on the contract signed by *** ***, Ciarlo Construction Corp agreed to apply and obtain a demolition permit on ** *** behalf providing ** *** would supply all necessary paper work including all utilities shutoff notices, asbestos clearance letter, sewer disconnect certificate,mammals (rodents) clearance letter, two copies of a current survey of the property and most important Architectural drawing filed with the NYC building department.We provided all necessary certificates of insurance and inspected the sight for compliance, we hired an "Expeditor" and we were ready to demolish the dwelling within days, but upon submission of the paper work to NYC building Department the application was denied because the client, contrary to claim they had made, had not filed drawings with the NYCBD (note this is the *** responsibility and it can only be done by the the ***) At that point we contacted *** *** and advised him of the problem.** *** told us that he was going to look into it and provide what was neededThree months went by without receiving any update from *** ***, finally approximately six months after signing the original contract we received an e-mail from *** *** advising us that the project was cancelled and he was requesting his deposit in the amount of $12,000.00to be returned at onceWe responded that we had no problem refunding the deposit minus $expenses we had incurred in by obtaining insurance papers, administrative fees and site inspection performed by our crew foreman in preparation for the demolitionWe preceded in mailing back to *** *** all the papers included in the file and a check for $6,We requested that the certificates of insurance provided by our insurance company for the demolition be returned to us and we, at that time, would refund the remaining balance in the amount of $5,500.00.Till this day we have not received the certificate back nor did we hear from *** ***We have been in business since and our record is spotless and we intent to keep it that way*** *** failed to agree to the terms of the contract and has caused our company to spend money and effort for no reasonCiarlo Construction Corporation does not keep deposits even in a situation like this one and we will promptly return the remaining $ 5,upon receipt of the certificates of insurance issued by our company in *** *** possession.Thank youCiarlo Construction Corporation

Review: Ciarlo Construction Corp was selected to do a full demolition of a house at [redacted]. we were clear on what we wanted and all paperwork we possessed for that property. we presented them to [redacted] he reviewed them and he drafted a proposal to complete the entire job on 7/**/2014, the total of which was $24000. I [redacted])personally handed [redacted] the asbestos report along with all disconnect letters and pest control letters which he accepted, said he has what he needs and he will take care of the rest. I also gave him a deposit check of $12000 on that day. He cashed my check the next day and since then we waited for a month with constant phone calls to his office and no response. I finally got him on his cell and he tells me I need to pay for a survey of property. I reluctantly paid $1400 for the survey to get things moving then on my way to deliver this survey I contacted them, then he tells me its not the survey I need I need to get a demo permit which involves me paying for an architect which I got an estimate for $7000. This is unacceptable as LINE 1 OF HIS PROPOSAL STATES THAT HE WILL "OBTAIN ALL NECESSARY DEMOLITION PERMITS AND PROVIDE ALL NECESSARY CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE AS REQUIRED". HE refuses to get such permit which puts him in breach of contract along with failure to provide corrected insurance certificate. Contract was terminated on December2014 and we have been trying to obtain deposit along with all paperwork back from [redacted] and Ciarlo Construction.HE did absolutely no work on property as he never had access. HE keeps avoiding my calls and the last few things he said to me was he is on vacation,he doesn't have money in checking account, the village of [redacted] owes him $100,000, and lastly he curses at me. All of which is not my concern I just need my deposit check back and all my papers in good condition . This Guy [redacted] and this company should be closely watched by customers and maybe investigated by the StateDesired Settlement: return of Deposit check of $12000 and all paperwork that was given to him
