The following are in response to *** *** allegations of the issues surrounding the repairs of the residence noted as *** *** ***.Answers from the Complaint Form :The claim is actually claimsThe 1st claim was not done correctlyMrM*** & *** *** had agreed to deal
with the combined issues when CIC,LLC were hired to do the repairs on the homeOne of the issues, was additional framing & support, for the structure of the home which was required by AA County agreed to on our scope and detailed on the report issued by *** ***.The *** to date have not taken *** to task on this added scope from when CIC supported the home and had to upgrade construction to meet the county code and repair additional water damage issues found during inspection*** Insurance denied the change order to bring the home up to code, even though It was their responsibility to pay the change order to bring the home to current code.The contract was between CIC LLC and *** InsuranceThe contract was based on a an *** Estimate that was approved by *** Insurance adjuster agent *** ***.The work requested was on a line item contract approved for $61,by MrM*** after removing Landscaping scopeW9, certificate of insurance etcwas approved by Mr M***.CIC,LLC WOULD, BE WILLING TO PARTICIPATE IN A MEDIATION.CIC was terminated by *** *** over his separated wife's disagreementCIC LLC was wrongfully terminated due to ** *** unresponsonsiveness to dealing with cost overages, His inability to make his Flooring & Cabinets selections in a timely manner with materials on a fast track schedule done and staying within budget within a reasonable time period has put the project in delay numerous times.**.*** refused to deal with approving Charge Orders of confronting his Insurance agent regarding structural issues that *** Insurance had refused to pay for as outside of the claim, which it wasn't** *** wanting to approve the additional work after they were completed which CIC refused to do under the threat of complaints to Maryland , MHIC and to fire CIC Work was done due to schedule issues, ** *** hospital slay and Geoff M*** being on vacationMr M*** also had advised CIC AND EMPLOYEES that any issues with additional scope that corne up while He was away would be taken care of upon his retumRegarding payments to CIC 1st time CIC was to meet at *** *** regarding getting the carpel & kitchen ideas was on Monday after his arrival at his hotel ** *** was a no show to this meeting After *** Insurance mailed out the checks they went to the Churchton Post Office to ** *** address they held his mail there, He was supposed to sign it off and hand it over to CIC LLC so that Pat T*** CIC LLC project manager, could have *** *** endorse it, so that CIC LLC could then deposit the paymentThree party checks were issued by the insurance company ** *** would use the checks to try and force his wife to meet with him, which she refusedFrom the time *** sent them out to the time CIC received them added at least weeks to every payment In breaking what I was told was a restraining order, ** *** started going to *** residence and dropped the check into ** ***'s mailbox, where by law *** *** wasn't supposed to be*** *** then ranted at both Pat T*** and ***, a Post Office employee at the Churchton Post Office*** *** caused such a scene there, that he is now not welcome in the post office while *** is working per the Postmaster Mike (301-261-9957)On the larger 1st draw payment of $40,dated 11-6-CIC received the check 11-16-15, on the occasion *** *** called and requested Pat T*** go meet with her at the Mortgage bank in Bowie instead of the Annapolis branch agreed to the day priorWhen Mr *** realized what *** had done changing where she would meet ** *** lost his composure and took it out on Pat Turley as well as did an associate He had with him that was trying to explain to Me how I need to exploit the Insurance company and He was a contractor He later admitted in the conversation he wasn't a licensed Md MHIC contractor but a small excavator subcontractorPat Turley told Mr *** then that He was overdue on his selections on his carpet & Cabinets and CIC LLC really needed to get these selections ASAP and they were overdue * Pat T*** did remind ** *** thal the move in date as well as his hotel room was coming up and He needed to make his selectioplease see the extensive emall trail ** *** was reminded of the timeline deadlines that were on the jobAll were also reminded by Geoff Milor of deadlines via emailAfter this meeting, Pat T*** reached out to *** *** regarding this issue*** had stayed out of the renovation because of the circumstances that had been going on with ** *** *** selections on the Material side were over the costs allowed on the *** cost sheetCIC had no issue on his selections; the issues were his non selection of any of his choices that fit into his cost allowance ** *** also cancelled choices that *** made and that were ordered (see emails) Because We had delays associated with ** *** irrarational behavior and his delay of the project CIC did submit a Change Order for additional General ConditionsThe job was stopped awaiting ** *** direction on his finishes The HVAC system, CIC was contracted to remove & reinstall the unitWe were contracted to add a pan under the new Vinyl flooring and add a new drain system to the unit to prevent this happening again this would have been installed at the time We came back onsite, gasses from the Freon were recycled & also pumped down into the condenser, the line was pinched and taped to prevent any issuesAll material outside of the kitchen final order & flooring has not been ordered or paid for until all of the Change Orders and paperwork submitted are addressed and dealt with a signature of approval and *** *** dealing with *** on the matters at handRight after ** *** went into his new residence in Annapolis, that day We had a meeting at his residence we went over what We were going to do at *** *** ** *** to get his corder straight and approved, He agreed ** *** also informed Me that He had no funds and neither did his wife to get the work done, I advised him as long as We stuck to a tight budget, We could accomplish this task but staying within budget would be the key, After that Meeting ** *** had told Me within a few days he had an accident with his prescriptions and overdosed and passed out on the floor, He laid on the floor a couple of days until his rooms cleaners found him on the floor unresponsive they got Mr *** to the hospital & later to a mental Illness hospital to be evaluated for trying suicide, he claimed He had not tried that, that was the reason He had not made his meetingsI was compassionate about that but then ** *** wanted Me to get him $5,for getting CIC this jobI told him noWe could not do this, I also advised Geoff M*** via a phone call of the issueAfterwards I reported it to Jennifer M*** and dropped it The items over the cost of the project line items was sent to the *** insurance Company as well as the *** CIC stance is that We will move forward upon written approval of these additional costs and Change ordersAt this point the house is still sitting and has not moved forward, I assume that Mr M*** is working with them to get the home finishedCIC will go back and finish upon signed Change Orders and approved costs associated with completing this projectWe also have an outstanding balance at this time, and we submitted to *** Insurance for reimbursement on.CIC has sent multiple bills to **& ***, via certified mail, which they refuse to acceptCIC is still it incuring costs on a monthly basis for the storage pods which hold the *** belongings and appliancesWe have extensive documentation in regards to *** Insurance, and the ***, to get this job resolved and the bills paidCIC has also incurred extensive administrative costs, as *** *** also filed a complaint with Maryland Home Improvement Commission; CIC has had to prepare for filing a lien against the *** property and incurring attorney's fees as well, The lien filing is my last resort to recoup the balance of the money owed to CIC.Please call me to review and discuss,
