I just got a phone call AT WORK, a woman telling me they need to serve me with papers! I asked what it was about and she gives me a ref number and advised me to call this other number which of course I do!! She first asks me if I can identify my self and asks my name and she even knew my SS number! Im then told I owe over 10K from an old credit card, inc penalties, court fees etc, and askes me if I have been served yet. I say no. and she says "Good, we can work with you then, Would you like to just pay $5,000 now or get your wages garnished for the 10 K?" My gut told me this was fishy, and there was something slimy about this whole thing. She warned me I had until tomorrow am to call her back or I would be served with the papers
