In October of 2014, I hired Kelly S [redacted] ' company, A-Bexar Foundation Repair, to level my historic pier-and-beam house preparatory to putting it on the marketI showed him the problem areas I knew of, and paid $for the leveling, which took one dayWhile I paid a licensed engineer to inspect the work, Kelly never returned to inspect itWhen the home was on the market (nearly a year later) I asked Kelly for the receipt, scope of work and warranty which had been promisedHe said I should "just use the bid, since it includes everything that was done." Eventually, the prospective buyer had it inspected, and found that the leveling was not done properly, and it still needed more workThis resulted in a reduction in the offer by $25,I returned after selling the house, and the contractor showed me the (now) perfectly-level floorsI have since asked Kelly for the paperwork on his job, and he will not return my emailsIn my opinion, Mr S [redacted] is a very charming, likable guy who does substandard work and won't stand behind itI dislike having to write reviews such as this one, but customers need to know what my experience has been, so they can decide if they want to hire A-Bexar Foundation RepairI would never do so again

In October of 2014, I hired Kelly S[redacted]' company, A-Bexar Foundation Repair, to level my historic pier-and-beam house preparatory to putting it on the market. I showed him the problem areas I knew of, and paid $4500 for the leveling, which took one day. While I paid a licensed engineer to inspect the work, Kelly never returned to inspect it. When the home was on the market (nearly a year later) I asked Kelly for the receipt, scope of work and warranty which had been promised. He said I should "just use the bid, since it includes everything that was done." Eventually, the prospective buyer had it inspected, and found that the leveling was not done properly, and it still needed more work. This resulted in a reduction in the offer by $25,000.
I returned after selling the house, and the contractor showed me the (now) perfectly-level floors.
I have since asked Kelly for the paperwork on his job, and he will not return my emails.
In my opinion, Mr S[redacted] is a very charming, likable guy who does substandard work and won't stand behind it. I dislike having to write reviews such as this one, but customers need to know what my experience has been, so they can decide if they want to hire A-Bexar Foundation Repair. I would never do so again.

Mr S[redacted] did a thorough inspection of my home with measurements of the degree of change in the foundation. After doing this, he sat down with me and told me that I didn't need foundation repair, but needed to water around the foundation to rehydrate the clay that is under this whole area. This was in comparison to another company that told me I need 18 piers placed around my home at a cost of $7,800! The third company I had called did not even show up.
$7,800.
I decided to try the watering before doing anything more since it couldn't hurt and was certainly much cheaper than $7,800. I did begin to water and then we had the fabulous 5 inch rain, and lo and behold, the doors are all opening and closing with no problem, now! The cracks have either closed up completely or are much less noticeable than previously. Needless to say, I'm thrilled with Mr S[redacted] honestly and expertise and will call him again, if I have more foundation needs.
