The last portion in this attached letter is the response we sent to our customer after their initial email response to our letter.  We have taken every measure possible to resolve our customer’s concern, and we are continuing to work with our customer to resolve the matter as soon as possible. We explained our policies plainly as we addressed the concerns from our customer, and unfortunately, we have not come to a resolution at this point in time. This message is in regards to a complaint filed against the Cincinnati Bartending School on 8/17/2015 by Mr. [redacted] (ID# [redacted]). On July 30, 2015, Mr. [redacted] registered with our program for $100. Immediately after registration, Mr. [redacted] called the school explaining a change of...

plans involving personal financial matters, and Mr. [redacted] requested a refund of his $100. We informed Mr. [redacted] that we will be able to initiate a refund. However, this process can take up to 5-7 business days. Mr. [redacted] initiated a complaint with Cincinnati Bartending School only 3 business days after the refund was requested. We kindly explained to Mr. [redacted] that it typically takes 5-7 business days, and sometimes it can take as long as 30 calendar days to initiate a refund due to the specific transactional processes that are in place at the school. He contacted the school after the ninth and tenth business days insisiting on speaking with Debbie G[redacted], the Enrollment Director, whom was not present at the time of his calls. The Director tried multiple times to address Mr. [redacted] concern, but Mr. [redacted] did not wish to address the concern. Mr. [redacted] only stated that he wanted to speak with Debbie G[redacted], and nothing more. The grievance was then issued immediately thereafter with the Revdex.com under ID# [redacted]. Since Mr. [redacted] complaint on August 17th, we have contacted home office with an immediate request to disburse Mr. [redacted] funds of $100 to his [redacted] account. Mr. [redacted], at this point, should have received his funds in full as requested on Friday August 14th.  The process of his refund took a total of 14 business days to complete. No other correspondence has been made by Mr. [redacted] to the Cincinnati Bartending School regarding this complaint. This student contacted us on 11/18/16 and was informed it could take up to 30 days to receive her refund.  She received her complete refund in one week on 11/25/16.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The school advised me to come back because they don't do refunds and I clocked in total of 16 hours for 4days...I would have never withdrew if the instructor wasn't belittling and  comments  said to me "It's not rocket Science"...it was said and very unprofessional. .. I will not, Will not be back and subject myself to that atmosphere...

Several statements made in this complaint need to be clarified.  Our web site does state the certification is good for a life time but nowhere does talk about lost certificates.  However we always have and will replace any students certificate when they provided proof they have completed...

all the requirements set forth by the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools.  Being a state licensed school we have to follow the rules and regulations set forth by them. And they require proof that a student fullfilled all the requirements set forth in our program.   We have not " blown this person off " or ignored them.  We addressed their concern when they first called. The person involved told us that she took the course over 15 years ago but has no proof she completed the program.  We are only required by the state to keep records for three years  but we keep up to five.  The reponsibility clearly lies on her part to have some sort of documetation  ie.  past employers records, copies of final exams.  Just having our text book shows she attended our school but again to issue a certificate from the State Board of Education we have to show proof the student completed all the requirements set forth by the State.
