Hello, Here is an email that I sent to the ***. The email describes in detail what we did for them. The jest of this issue is They had a landscape company damage and then try to fix their irrigation system. When we went to start up the system for the season we
found it was repaired incorrectly. There were zones tied together in the rear lawn. They wanted me to send my serviceman out for free to meet with the landscaper that performed the work incorrectly to show him the problem with the rear zones. We are extremely busy that time of year & the meeting never occurred, as we were busy starting up our other loyal customer's systems. They paid the landscape company $to repair the system that they had damaged & I felt it was the landscape companys problem since the *** chose to have them fix it and had not called us to repair it right the first time. The *** had prepaid $for the spring start up service to us. I sent them a refund check for $for the rear zones that we could not check out do to the incorrect work by the landscaper. We did not install this system & they were only our customer for a year so I do not know if they are the type of customer that is hard to please. We have hundreds of customers that have been with us for 20+ years. The email I sent them is below. He showed up for his scheduled appointment, he installed your back flow protection device, he turned the water on in the basement & then he programmed your controller. He cycled through the front lawn zones which he found acceptable. When he made it around to the rear lawn he noticed that of your zones had come on at the same time. After a little investigating he came to the conclusion that the landscape company must have caused a problem. While discussing the problem with you, you mentioned to him that you had paid *** *** *** $to repair the sprinkler system after they had damaged it during landscape construction. My service tech said it appears that whomever *** *** had perform the irrigation work, must have connected pipes together somewhere & that is why the zones come on at the same time. I assume that somewhere during the pre construction meetings that you had with *** *** that you must have mentioned you had a lawn sprinkler system & felt secure in his company fixing anything they damaged. I know that *** *** has been in business for a long time & I assume will warranty any workmanship that has been performed incorrectly. My recommendation is you have the landscape technician that performed the irrigation repair incorrectly come back out & do it correctlyIf they refuse, I would ask them for reimbursement of the $800 for the work that was performed incorrectly & pay an irrigation company that specializes in the repair of lawn sprinklers to fix it correctly. As for your demand for a refund of your Spring start up money, I will send you a check for a for the zones in the rear that he could not check properly due to the incorrect repair by *** *** Landscape, even though I feel this has nothing to do with our company. Please forward me the address & name of the person I need to send this refund check. Could you please share this email with Mr, *** as he has left a message with my office as well.
