From:? [redacted] .***< [redacted] @***.com>Date: Tue, May 30, at 9:AMSubject: case # [redacted] To: [redacted] @myRevdex.com.orgDear [redacted] ,Thank you for your continued help in this case.? ? [redacted] Auction house has a (out of 5) star review? rating on line .? Clearly? they have ripped off more people than just me? In their response to you they wrote that they were ‘saddened whenever a customer is unhappy, but can do nothing about it in this instance’ ? That is utter BALONEY? They could accept their flawed item back and return my money to me.? They mentioned? integrity? and? reliability? These words in NO way describe this company? If they were reliable or had integrity, they would accept the return of a flawed item and refund my money. Here is the email [redacted] Auction sent to me after I was approved to bid:Thank you for your interest in bidding in our auctionPlease note that payment must be received within days after the auction - by check, money order or bank wire transfer.? We do not accept credit cards or [redacted] Also, winning bidders are responsible for making shipping arrangements,we do not offer in house shippingRecommended shipping stores will be listed on the invoice each winning bidder will receive after the auction.? What legitimate business does not accept credit cards or [redacted] ? ? Also, if they do not accept returns, don’t you think that that should be ? written in large letters? When I asked to send the watch back for a refund I received the following response: ? ? We operatein "buy or beware" format. That isn’t even an English term - it’s? ‘buyer beware’, but again if I am a valued customer, they could just accept the return of the watch and give me my money back. That’s all I want: ? To return the broken item and receive a full refund? The watch is still in the original packaging that it was in when it came to me & I’m happy to send it back in the condition that it was in when it arrived.Thank you,***

Review: I contacted Portero in May this year, because I wanted to sell some bags. I send them 2 bags ysl and dior. They sold ysl and sent me the check. Now I am trying to get information about my Dior bag. I ve trying to get information for the past three weeks no one is responding. Before I was in contact with [redacted].Desired Settlement: I would love to get my bag back or money if that bag was sold.

Response:

At this time, my complaint, ID [redacted] regarding Portero, Inc. has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: I purchased a USED Cartier watch from the company 'portero luxury' online, which seems to be this companies 'other' name.

The watch was described as being in 'very good' condition which in their own system would be only 2 steps away from 'excellent' (the best condition one can buy a used watch from them). I (and as I think rightfully so) assumed that I had purchased a fully functioning watch, as nothing in their condition description (in their own words: 'Merchandise is in very good condition for its age. Older items may exhibit very light patina and wear relative to the age of the product, and more contemporary items will be just short of “excellent" ') lead me to believe that the watch would not work. When the watch arrived it did indeed NOT work and I brought it to an authorized Cartier dealer to have the battery changed. Upon pick-up I was informed that the watch would not work, even with a new battery and therefore had to be sent to Cartier in Paris themselves to be inspected. The cost for that is 370 Euro and I asked 'portero' for the reimbursement of that amount (which I, of course have receipts for). The companies representative flat out refused, pointing me in the direction of their warranty policy, which states that they repair watches themselves. I think I have acted very responsible by bringing the watch to an AUTHORIZED dealer and later sending it to the watchmakers themselves. The watch is sent and cannot be called back and on the other hand, I have no certification of 'portero' that indicates them as Cartier watch-masters, so I asked for the reimbursement again.Desired Settlement: The reimbursement of the Euro 370 I had to spend to have a fully functioning watch.

Response:

Dear [redacted], In addressing this complaint we have communicated with the customer that we sincerely sorry that the watch did not work when they received it, that was an error on our end and the watch should have been working. We were happy to remedy the situation by providing a label for them to ship the watch into us for a repair where we would have it repaired by a very skilled watch repair with original Cartier pieces. The customer decided to take the watch directly to Cartier for repair. It is not our policy to reimburse customers for repairs that they have decided to pursue from alternate venues. Again, we remain happy to have the watch repaired for them but reimbursement for 3rd party repairs is not within our policy. Thank you, [redacted]

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I am afraid, I cannot accept this attempt to easily get out of a situation where I am left with either a non functioning watch or 370 Euro in repair fees.I purchased a watch under the assumption that it was in working condition, for me to have to find out only when I try to replace the battery that I purchased a faulty piece is unacceptable.I then proceeded to do the responsible thing: send the watch to Cartier as recommended by the authorized dealer who assured me, that no other party was allowed to open/repair the watch.I do not consider Cartier to be a third party but rather 'portero' who, to this day, has not presented a certificate by Cartier that they are indeed certified to open the watch. In addition to that, I question why, if indeed they are certified, they would have send me a broken watch to begin with? You can see how my trust in this company is irreparably broken, since they claim they employ skilled watch masters, yet send me a non functioning watch!

Response:

We have stated on our website that we do not cover repairs by a third party, we are happy to cover repairs when the watch is sent into us. [redacted]

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

As stated, I find my reaction to receiving a non functioning Cartier watch (send it to the Cartier watch masters as recommended by the Cartier authorized jeweler that was only certified to change the battery) quite reasonable. I do not however find it reasonable and quite frankly start to find it quite suspicious how 'portero' is trying to steer me away from the Cartier watchmakers - makes me wonder what they will present me with....? Maybe the watch is a fake? Because who in there right mind would NOT support a watch being checked out by the watchmakers themselves? This behavior is questionable to say the least. No, case not solved, thank you.
