I am rejecting this response because:
During a phone call on Oct 25, at 4:05pm PT, prior to any work taking place, I specific asked about the contract waver for damage clause, *** *** stated that damage would likely be minimal for a new roofDue to his response and repeated assurance, I proceeded to have the work performed; acknowledging that there would be some minimal damage that I would be responsible forThe roof was new, having been just installed by Champion Weatherproofing, Incin Sept My expectation for damage was to be less than the cost of the fumigation at $1750, as the contract had a repair quote for $300.After the work was completed, I asked *** Kustom Exterminators about the damage and was referred to the fumigation company, Mega Fume Incwhich offered repairs for a reasonable cost, but not including materials required and without any warrantee (repairs that would effectively void my current 10-year warrantee)I asked Champion Weatherproofing for an estimate and according to the company the fumigation cause extensive damage, well above in their opinionTo maintain the new roof warrantee, Champion conducted the repairs at a cost of $2521.33, including labor and materials. Champion Weatherproofing, Incwill vouch for the extensive damage and the repair costs.If *** *** would have been more honest in his response during our phone conversation, then I could have made an informed decision.
