Circuit One Reviews (3)

The Circuit-One website was not working, so I could not register for my event, and customer service did not respond to my phone calls and e-mails.On June 4, 2014, I purchased a 5-lap racing tour for Circuit One at the Thompson Motor Speedway through Groupon.com for $149. The redemption code was [redacted], and it expires on August 16, 2014. On July 7 through the present date, I tried to register for the July 20 event on the circuit-one website, http://www.eventbrite.com/e/circuit-one-hands-on-driving-experience-thompson-spe... For the July 19 and 20 dates, the website was not operational and would not allow you to select a time, and thus, would not complete registration for the event. From July 7, I sent e-mails to the company contact e-mail, but received no reply. I tried to call the company phone number, but the first few times, the voicemail inbox was full and would not accept messages. The voicemail later was able to accept messages, and I left at least two messages, but never received a call back. I also called Groupon customer service, but they merely redirected me to Circuit-One.At this point, the Circuit-One website states that the 7/20 event has sold out. The next event is on 9/14. This outside of the August 16 Groupon expiration date, so if I wanted to choose this date, I would have to pay the difference between the regular rate of $400, minus the $149, according to Groupon policies. The July 20 event would have been free. Today, I went to the website to try to register for the September 14 event, and the website response was that the Groupon discount was not valid, which is against Groupon policies, which state that after the expiration of the Groupon discount, you can still apply the amount paid to the full cost of the item purchased.Desired SettlementI am seeking either to be able to register for the 9/14 event, without paying a higher cost (replacement), or to have my entire $149 fee refunded in total.Business Response Mrs. [redacted] was contacted on July 24th - her husband was then scheduled for Sept. 14 at 5pm that exact same date. The reason that she was unable to schedule the 7/20 on the 7/7 was because that date was already booked full.Groupon is informed to tell consumers that not all dates are promised and sell out quickly. Her husband is still booked for 9/14 at 5pm and Mrs. [redacted] was not charged any additional amount by us.

I had purchased a Circuit One test drive voucher online in April 2013, as a gift for my boyfriend on his Alive Day (the anniversary of a near-death experience, for him - being injured in Afghanistan)Long story short - this was 'supposed' to be a very special and meaningful experience for him, and thus far it has been a complete nightmareI do have to point out - that I do understand that this sort of event is dependent on the weather conditions cooperating - for the safety of the participants - but my issues lie with how Circuit One handled all the cancellations and postponementsOur 'scheduled event, date & time' was postponed about four times - with every rescheduled date we had to rearrange other scheduled events, family vacations, workdays, etc...and every time, at the last minute (the day of), our test drive was pushed off againFinally, Nov X XXXX, we were told was our 'last shot' for the seasonI confirmed with Melanie of Circuit One the week before - then the day before - that we were still on..weather was good, all seemed fineWe were scheduled for a 4pm time slot...we even received an email reminder from her that day (15min before our appointment, but its the effort that counts)We were literally signing the waivers, on the side of the track...when the girl signing everyone in was abruptly pulled aside - and returned to inform us that she had some bad newsOne of the THREE cars was 'malfunctioning' so they would not be able to take any more test drives that day - AND they wouldn't have enough time to fit us all in by dusk ANYWAYSSo they basically told us that they had overbooked our scheduled time slot - and that the fact that in November, in Thompson CT, it gets dark about 4:30pm - was a minor technicality that that they had overlooked when booking that day's eventsNeedless to say, they told us to contact 'Melanie' for a FULL REFUND AND FREE VOUCHERS for next season..but they had no authority to confirm any of thisSince then - I have YET TO SEE MY REFUND CHECK.Product_Or_Service: Five Lap Driving Experience plus T-ShirtOrder_Number: COXXXXXXXXAccount_Number: COXXXXXXXXDesired SettlementAfter discussing possible options with my boyfriend - he has decided NOT to request any free services or vouchers from Circuit One - he feels it would just be another run-around, waste of time as this past year has beenAll we want in return is a FULL REFUND so that I can make it up to him in another way - I would NOT use or recommend Circuit One in the future.Business Response Our first priority is for the safety of our customers, Circuit One cannot control weather related issues and issues with car maintenance during a scheduled eventCircuit One has agreed to refund the consumer in full for the amount of the Five Lap Experience plus t-shirt

I purchased the photo and video package for a driving experience and did not receive the items I paid for.I purchased a [redacted] photo and video package from a driving experience on [redacted] 2015. Upon departure, I was given an SD card and was told my purchases could be found there. After returning home, I discovered that only the video, not the photos, were on the SD card. I contacted the company and they told me that since I left without my items (how was I to know what was on the SD card before viewing its contents?) I was ineligible for a refund and would not receive the items I paid for. They state that they were not responsibe for forgotten items, though I did not "forget" to take the SD card (that they did not include my entire purchase on) with me.Desired SettlementI would like my pictures given to me, or I would like a refund for the paid items I did not receive. Business Response According to the communications received from Ms. [redacted] the SD card was forgotten at the track. We are not responsible if a customer forgets or leaves behind goods or personal belongings. However as we were not the managing partner of Circuit One when this occurred we have authorized a full refund for that portion paid. A refund of [redacted] has been sent to accounting and should be received by Ms. [redacted] within two business weeks. If you need anything additional please let me know. Thanks[redacted]
