Archer Appliance charged us $for the initial service call to fix our dryer, saying that it would cover any labor costs if they had to order a part for repair He did not have the heating element on hand to fix the issue He could not give us an estimate as to how much the part would be We heard from them late the next day, saying it would be $for the part We had called a local supplier and the element was only $(not after market either- it was a genuine Electrolux part, and was right here in Wilmington- no shipping costs) Archer's would not lower the quoted part price, and refused to even give us the part number It was weird The technician had showed late, used the wrong bits to take apart the dryer, and did not reattach the belt when he was done My husband fixed the dryer himself with the element from Cashwell's Appliance, and it is working great If we had waited for them we still would not have a working dryerThey also were very nasty and rude on the phone when we called to request our money back I would not recommend them, and will not call again
