Circus Circus Reno Hotel & Casino Reviews (2)

In May, of 2012, I was walking into Circus Circus carrying a 20 ounce bottle of [redacted]. I cannot drink beer, or alcohol, because I am taking medication to control epileptic seizures. One of the Circus Circus security guards was sitting on the bench, located on Sixth Street, smoking a cigarette. He followed me into the casino, and straight to the Sportsbook. He then asked me for my ID. So, I gave him my ID. Then I said to him: "Why don't you ask the writers? I am buying tickets from them every week." The security guard refused to ask the writers whether, or not, I was buying tickets from them. The security guard took me into a room, took my photo, and then said that I was 86'ed from Circus Circus, [redacted] and [redacted]. Why? I didn't do anything wrong. Why was I punished for no reason? Until today, my 86 at Circus Circus was never lifted. This is not right. I have lived in Reno for more than 34 years. I live only 2 blocks from Circus Circus. Why should I have to go all the way to [redacted], or [redacted], just to place a wager on a sporting event? If Circus Circus has too many security guards on duty, that's not the customers fault. What happened to the old saying: "The customer is always right?"Desired SettlementI worked from 1993 until 2008 at the [redacted]. I would like Circus Circus to lift my 86, so that I could visit my former teammates at the [redacted]. I also would like Circus Circus to refund the $262 fine that I had to pay, in June of 2015 to the City of Reno, for trespassing. (going inside the [redacted]) I checked with my former supervisor at the [redacted], [redacted], in May of 2015, just to make sure that it would be OK if I entered the [redacted]. [redacted] said to me: "Everything should be OK now"Business Response After careful review of the circumstances surrounding [redacted] status with Circus Circus Reno, we are unable to accommodate his requests as mentioned on the desired resolution of his complaint. To maintain high standards of customer safety, comfort, and enjoyment of our guests, whenever necessary, Circus Circus Reno exercises its right to refuse service to those persons whom we find incompatible with that environment.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)How can I be incompatible with the environment at Circus Circus? I was purchasing $300 tickets every week from the writers at the Circus Circus sportsbook. I can show Circus Circus all of my losing tickets, that I have purchased at the Peppermill and at the Atlantis. The vast majority of sportsbook customers buy tickets in the amount of $5, $10 or $20, not $300! How can people betting only small amounts of money be considered good customers, but someone like myself (buying tickets in the amount of $300, or above) be considered incompatible with the casino environment? If Circus Circus doesn't believe that I am betting huge amounts of money, they can check out all of the activity on my [redacted] players card. I received my [redacted] players card, at the [redacted] when [redacted] took over the [redacted] sportsbook. Today, I can't go in the [redacted] just because a security guard 86'ed me at the Circus Circus. Shouldn't all of the action on my [redacted] players card speak louder than the actions taken on me by a Circus Circus security guard?

On September 1,2014 I was in reno staying at circus circus hotel. My 2001 [redacted] with 26 inch rims was valet parked the day before. When the valet person brought my [redacted] back I packed my luggage in the [redacted] and then started my way back to [redacted]. On the way me and my wife stopped in boom town to grab something to eat before the long drive home. As she was getting out the [redacted] I noticed my 26inch rim was curbed and bent. I then called the casino and spoke with security...they advised me to come back and fill out report and so they can take pictures. I went back and the security guard took pictures and I filled out a report. I was advised to call back on Tuesday to speak with [redacted] risk manager. I called him 2 times and finally got ahold of [redacted]. He told me he would have a answer to what they were gonna do on the 10th of September. I have not heard from him. I called him several times and left messages. I'm very frustrated because the valet person caused almost 2300.00 dollars in damnages. I won't them to pay for the damaged rim and tire.Desired SettlementI want a new tire and rim plus the rear wheel alignment done which the total is 2350.00. The rim and tire alone is 2200.00
