Upon our technician's arrival, customer stated there had been another plumbing company on site and they refused to go under mobile home. Our Technician took the job fresh and gave an estimate of $150 to do a full diagnostic which would include...

to crawl under mobile home and do the full inspection; which would be waived if we did repairs. Customer refused diagnosis, but was adamant we give him a price to do repair based off of what he thought problem to be. Technician gave the customer an estimate on the basis that the work was exactly as customer was describing, at approximately $235; that would be waiving the diagnostic fee. We do not feel that we are falsely advertising "Free Estimates", when the repair needing to be done is completely visible we offer the customer a price and it is in their hands to choose which action they would like to take. When work is involved in diagnosing the issue, this is when charges incur. Using a slab leak for example, we cannot visually see exactly what repairs are needed underground, therefore we have to run the leak detector (at an additional cost) and provide the price from there on after.
