We have rented from Citadel for about years nowEverything was fine, except for a couple hard times when we got behind on rent due to lack of workUntil the maintenance guy, J [redacted] son [redacted] moved into the building (triplex)At first everything was fine, we even started to become friendsBut then [redacted] started complaining about every little thingEven if it was something we had nothing to do with, he'd blame it on usThen came the parking spot issueWe live in the unit closest to the alleyway so we would have our friends park in the back parking areaWe ALWAYS left spots for the other tenants to park so we were not being a 'nuisance'However, [redacted] complained to his dad that he NEVER had anywhere to park and that our friends should Not be allowed to park back thereBut it made more sense for them to just park right by our door than to have to walk the entire length of the triplex because they had to park on the streetTwo different times our friend [redacted] , stopped by and parked in the backSince he was not staying for more than a few minutes, mostly in the middle of the day, he didn't think it would be an issueHowever, the first time [redacted] saw him and started a very loud argument [redacted] was called and he also started arguing with [redacted] Eventually ***left and [redacted] and [redacted] stayed around for a whileI guess to watch if ***came backAnother time ***stopped by to grab some paperwork he had us print out and when he went back out to his truck [redacted] had pulled in his truck and trailer SIDEWAYS BLOCKING ***IN [redacted] got out of his truck yelling at ***that he needed to move immediately***asked if [redacted] would move his truck forward so he Could get out, because he Was leaving, and [redacted] blatantly refused***started to walk back to our door and [redacted] followed him, all the while yelling and cursing at him [redacted] then came out of his unit to see what all the commotion was and found his dad yelling at [redacted] So instead of trying to calm his dad down, he joined in [redacted] would get in ***s face and called him names, but when ***would even try to approach ***, [redacted] would quickly back away and [redacted] would get in ***s face and tell him to "Stop charging his dad"The cops were called and had to physically move [redacted] away from ***and us and then proceeded to get both sides of the storyAfter getting everyone's input and letting everyone cool down for a moment, the cops asked [redacted] to move his truck so ***could leave [redacted] refused at first saying that ***shouldn't be parked back there anywayYes, this was true, won't deny that ***was wrong for parking there, BUT [redacted] DID NOT have to block him in and then refuse to moveFinally after a couple times asking [redacted] finally moved his truckAfter ***left [redacted] proceeded to put up parking spot numbersMaking sure to put ours as far away from our door as possibleAnd his son's as close to our door as possible [redacted] has YET to use his parking spot for parkingHe has, however, done vehicle maintenance on his BMW, even though it states in the lease there is to be no vehicle maintenance in the parking areaBefore the cops arrived that night, ***pulled out his cell phone and began recordingHe managed to record [redacted] and [redacted] and EVERYTHING they were sayingFrom [redacted] getting in ***s face to [redacted] saying he had been looking for a reason to evict usThe video served us well when [redacted] and [redacted] who is the owner and operator of Citadel Realty, and our land-lord, decided to take us to court and try and evict us because of this parking issueAfter many arguments in court and seeing our video, the judge ruled in our favor and blatantly told [redacted] and Melanie they had No Grounds for evictionEver since they have made our lives living hell and will not let us renew our leaseNot that we'd want to anyway!! However, there is now an eviction on our record, and even though we were never evicted, it still has hindered us from finding a new place to rentWe had a realty company call Citadel Realty and ask about the court proceedings, just to get their side of the storyEverything sounded like it would fall into place and we'd be able to rent this place, until he talked to themAll we got was a measly email basically saying, "YeahNo." They have once again hindered us from renting anywhere! I'm sure the day our lease ends [redacted] will be standing there watching to see if we leave Citadel Realty is a horribly run company now that [redacted] CO-OWN IT NOTE: THEY DISCRIMINATE AGAINST GAYS AND THOSE WHO HAVE DISABILITIES! We will NEVER rent from them again and we will NEVER recommend them to ANYONE!! Horrible company run by HORRIBLE people!!!

Earlier this year my wife and I were looking to buy a houseWe didn't have an agent yet and didn't really know where to startSomeone refered us to Citadel Realty and to ask for Melanie ***My wife contacted her and told her we are first time home buyers looking in colorado springs and the surrounding areaMelanie got us in contact with Rich *** from Caliber home loans and and together Rich and Melanie made our first home buying experience easy and painless! Melanie took us to view several homes until we walked into "OUR" homeWe knew right away this was the house for us! The closing came quick and before we knew it we were home ownersIf it wasn't for Melanie and all her knowledge on the city and the real estate market I'm sure we would have never found this home! I highly recommend Citadel Realty/Melanie *** with all your home buying/selling needs!

TerribleThey took over for my landlord and so lots of changes including raised rent and utilitiesGave only days notice before I was supposed to sign a brand new leaseThey agreed to give me a month to find something elseWhen it came time to move I asked over and over for them to do a walk through with me so I could be sure to get my total deposit back but they refused saying it's not company policyThey also said I didn't have to clean the carpets since they were being replacedOnce they finally did their inspection I called to make sure everything was goodThey raved about how nice I left the apartment and said they would only have to have someone clean inside the ovenOnce they finally had my check ready, almost a month later, they took almost $off for carpet cleaning, the oven and an extra $for one missing light bulbThey also tried not returning my $pet depositI finally received it days after move outThis company is completely dishonesttake pics!!

Citadel Realty has been managing my house for the past three years and I am entirely satisfied with their professional fidelity, expediency, response and in particular, their ability to turn the house around and find new, dependable renters, in just one week most of the time The previous two agents I experienced were disasters The last agency used my house as a short term rental while finding a house to buy for that tenant, and those time would be about six months rented, three months vacant I was made to pay for all of the clogged drains, and broken doors that the tenant said "came off the hinge" when they pulled on it I would call in to find out why the house wasn't rented and be told the agent was in Florida but another agent was in charge However, that agent was ALWAYS on "long distance calls" and could never be reached Patience bought me nothing They are still doing business in Colorado Springs and have two "Cs" in the name (not one) Citadel has treated me better t

Citadel Realty is among the best Company's I have ever worked with. They took care of while selling my rental and provide excellent service managing my rental.
