Citgo Lube & Repair

I am asking for a partial refund (parts only)of $275.00 for a steering column that was replaced on a 2004 Ford Focus on Nov. 25, 2013. The car originally entered Citgo on Nov. 19, 2013 for a bad ignition lock cylinder. Citgo replaced the lock cylinder for $310.39 parts and labor. I had to return the car the same day because lock cylinder was not repaired correctly. I still could not turn the ignition key. Citgo then said the steering column was bad and needed replacing. They charged an additional $499.38 for parts and labor. I personally talked to two different Ford service centers and they told me the steering column should not have needed replacing unless damage was done to the steering column the first time. Again at this point I am only asking for a partial refund of parts only $275.00 for the steering column. If I do not receive the $275.00 in 30 days then I will take Citgo Lube and Repair to small claims court.Desired SettlementRefund of parts only steering column $275.00Business Response In regards to this complaint, Citgo Lube & Repair does not have a customer with the name and address of [redacted] in our data base. A repair was completed on a 2004 Ford Focus for another individual with a different name and address. A quote for repairs was given to the customer and the repair order was authorized and paid in full by the customer. We have not had a complaint by the customer herself to date. [redacted] does not have any entitlement to a refund for the vehicle in question. We feel this is a fraudulent complaint on behalf of another person.Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)After the first unsuccessful repair and charge of over $300 Citgo Lube and Repair said "don't worry, we will make this right."Neither [redacted] nor I consider an additional charge of over $400 fair in "making this right." Nor do I consider the owner of Citgo Lube and Repair to be forthright after he cussed and swore at me while I civilly attempted to discuss this matter with him via telephone. Besides MA small claims court, there are plenty of internet rating sites where one can voice their opinions on businesses and services received by them.Final Business Response [redacted] was indeed informed of all repairs before service was conducted. [redacted] was shown the faulty parts in person that were replaced by Citgo Lube & Repair. The vehicle came in with several issues that needed to be diagnosed by a service technician not by advisement of a telephone call with a Ford dealership. The customer's mother requested information on a service issue that she found on the internet, and thought that this was the issue with the 2004 Ford Focus. [redacted] requested the ignition lock cylinder was replaced upon her mother's findings on the internet. The vehicle returned one day later with the lock cylinder broken again. As we diagnosed the issue we found the lock mechanism inside the steering column was indeed damaged and could not be replaced without replacing the entire steering column. A Locksmith came and reset the key so additional expenses would not occur after the quote was given. Citgo did not charge the customer for any additional work, and the ignition was replace twice under warranty.[redacted] or [redacted] have not contacted us on behalf of any type or kind of settlement or has contacted us on any further issues. [redacted] has had previous work completed here before and has never had an issue with the services that were completed. Citgo did not charge her for any additional expenses that occurred after the quote we had diagnosed and we will not be refunding $275.00.[redacted] was indeed informed of all repairs and cost that we diagnosed regarding the 2004 Ford Focus. We still have the damaged parts that were in question to provide to a court of law if necessary. We feel as though Ms. Lance was treated fairly by our service technicians and office manager and formally advised on all repairs.
