Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: I have gathered a document that may assist you in your investigation, attachedThis is regarding the undesired and unapproved automated renewal of our Citibabes membership for $When my wife originally reviewed the contract she spotted the aggressive auto-renewal clause, and she EXPLICITLY DISALLOWED IT right there from the first moment she signed that contractShe wrote next to the renewal clause “DOESN'T APPLY - SEASONAL MEMBERSHIP", and then "N/A" again next to it, and then initialed it next to itYou will find this information clearly marked in the attachment providedShe discussed it with Citibabes at the time and she was told this was the way to prevent the auto-renewalYou may ask Citibabes for the original contract to verify it, or we will be glad to provide a copy.Thus, Citibabes had no right to renew the membership to begin with, and their refusal to resolve this amicably and refund the amount to a great customer who happily recommended the place to family and friends seems tremendously unfair and inappropriate, particularly coming from a business who knows we are parents and have an extremely busy lifestyle with both us working and taking care of kidsI hope other customers are not treated in this manner, it's really a shame In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

We are so sorry to see this feedback and have enjoyed having this family as a member of our clubWe make every effort to make our policies clear to our familiesThe following is very
simply stated in our annual contract: "Memberships renew automatically for periods of months from the expiration date of the previous term, and are renewed at the current membership priceA request to not renew must be received in writing days prior to the expiration of current membership." This family enrolled for an annual membership on April **, It is extremely inaccurate to say that [no attempt was made to contact this family] "...without any prior warning, no calls or emails at all"email reminders were sent to all of our families about their auto-renewal with a reminder to opt outThe auto renewal reminder emails were sent to this family's email on Wednesday March **, at 4:pm, Friday March **, at 12:pm, and Thursday April **, at 6:pmA hard copy letter was mailed to all of our families homesThe letter was mailed to this family's home on April **, and a hard copy can also be providedThese records will all be sent to the Revdex.com separately and it is our hope that this erroneous compliant be removedWe have but a few policies in place for both the orderliness of our business, as well as in the interest of fairness to our community as a wholeWe do not make any exceptions to our policies and are therefore very carefully communicate them to our familiesThis was the case in this circumstance and the accusations leveled by *** ***'s are sadly,falseWe are happy to speak privately with the family to find a mutual resolution to this matter and hope to have to opportunity to do so.

Review: My wife [redacted] joined Citibabes along with several of our friends a year ago. We paid via credit card in full. In concept it was a great idea but as it turned out we very rarely used their services: classes or playground. We didn't complain, we simply waited for the 1 year period to be over. We haven't visited the place in months, which is what I was extremely surprise to see a full automatic membership renewal hit my credit card again a few days ago. It was for a whopping $900, not the kid of thing you would expect to hit you on "auto-renew" without any prior warning, no calls or emails at all, especially when you haven't used the service in months. In any event, I thought of course logic and common sense will prevail: this is a service I don't want, the membership hasn't even started for the new year, I want to cut it off. My wife stopped by to clear it up. Nope, Citibabes blew her off. Then she called and asked for a manager. Nope, they never called her back. Unresponsive and uninterested in resolving it. I am stunned that a business is able to do this. I have had to initiate a formal dispute via my credit card to get my money back which is crazy. Citibabes must be really hurting for money. If you are considering joining, DO NOT JOIN THIS PLACE.Desired Settlement: A simple refund on the original card would suffice. Not asking for anything special. I simply do not wish to use this service for the next year, and since the period hasn't started I want my money - which they charged without prior warning or authorization.

The following is very simply stated in our annual contract: "Memberships renew automatically for periods of 12 months from the expiration date of the previous term, and are renewed at the current membership price. A request to not renew must be received in writing 60 days prior to the expiration of current membership." This family enrolled for an annual membership on April **, 2014. It is extremely inaccurate to say that [no attempt was made to contact this family] "...without any prior warning, no calls or emails at all". 3 email reminders were sent to all of our families about their auto-renewal with a reminder to opt out. The auto renewal reminder emails were sent to this family's email on Wednesday March **, 2015 at 4:26 pm, Friday March **, 2015 at 12:16 pm, and Thursday April **, 2015 at 6:59 pm. A hard copy letter was mailed to all of our families homes. The letter was mailed to this family's home on April **, 2015 and a hard copy can also be provided. These records will all be sent to the Revdex.com separately and it is our hope that this erroneous compliant be removed. We have but a few policies in place for both the orderliness of our business, as well as in the interest of fairness to our community as a whole.
