Costco switched from American Express to Citibank as of June and soon after receiving the card I am getting past due notices in less than a monthI cannot get anyone to answer their customer service line for days in a row and just hung up after minutes of listening to their automated message; all customer service agents are helping other customers, sorry for the wait, you will be helped when the next CS agent is availableThis has gone on for days so I will close this card and use my Chase cards that Costco now accepts

Worst customer service EVER. They are the ones behind the Best Buy cards now (and weren't when I got the card) they managed to completely make a mess of my account when best buy switched to them and had my credit card listed under my father because his rewards card was in best buy's system with the same phone number/ address because I had gotten that card when I was still living at home. It took over SIX months to get this fixed and I had to get my senior father to go up to the store with me so an employee could verify we were both who we said we were. It was a nightmare. Well no sooner do I get that fixed than an auto-payment starts coming out of my account for the most recent bank account I paid with. I NEVER authorized any such payment and it over-drafted my account on multiple occasions because I had already paid the card and it took out a second payment. NOWHERE on the website is there an option to remove an auto payment and calling the company does NO good. I spent 2 years trying to get this removed and even asked to have the card closed which -in spite of having no money owed on the card at the time of request - the company REFUSED to do. They refused to fix the problem, they refused to close the card, they refused to do anything but take my money even beyond what was owed. I literally had a negative amount owed because it kept taking money out automatically even when I had purchased NOTHING on that card. The call center was utterly horrendous on service. I've had people tell me to "just deal with it" , that "well everyone uses auto-pay now, that's just how its done" and have even been just hung up on when the person couldn't get it fixed. I finally had a little luck with the chat option where someone - who may very well have been a bot for how many advertisement plugs were thrown into the conversation - finally changed the AMOUNT of the auto pay to 0. it is still there, but at least it isn't taking anything anymore. Oh and when I have tried to email or call corporate - I get an automated response that says "please contact your local Citi branch.... its a store card- I don't have a local citi branch... nor would I ever after this fiasco. I will NEVER touch anything with Citi listed on it ever again. Their practices are horrifying, I really think this company is a scam. Takes more money than they are owed, has no way to fix your problem on your own, impossible to get a human who can help, inaccurate contact info on the website, dodges issue at every turn.... it has very mark of a scam, and if companies have an ounce of sense they wont use this company for their cards. After this I may never shop best buy either.

Costco switched from American Express to Citibank as of 20 June and soon after receiving the card I am getting past due notices in less than a month. I cannot get anyone to answer their customer service line for 6 days in a row and just hung up after 60 minutes of listening to their automated message; all customer service agents are helping other customers, sorry for the wait, you will be helped when the next CS agent is available. This has gone on for 6 days so I will close this card and use my Chase cards that Costco now accepts.

My husband and I have nothing but problems with our Citibank credit cards. The autopay system that they use will withdraw money from your bank account immediately whenever you make any change to your autopay.... even though the change is not supposed to go into effect until the following month. Therefore, save yourself a headache and bank account overdraws, and do not set up the autopay feature on your Citibank credit cards.
