I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. This really isn't about the money, a refund would be nice, but others with no automotive background that have or could be taken advantage of.

Review: On date above , writer took said vehicle in for a smog check. Service writer (Initials **) kept pressuring me to spend extra mont to be legible for a $1 re-test should vehicle fail. While writing work order I stated this vehicle had never failed. A 16 year old vehicle with 53,000 miles on it. Service writer laughed and again said "want to pay extra for the $1 dollar re-test"? Well the shop failed vehicle for an alleged non-approved hose. Writer returned back to shop with-in an hour showing hose was hose supplied for approved air intake kit (which is noted on receipt as being "ok"). Smog technician stated with that info he could pass the vehicle. Service writer said he would charge be again to pass vehicle even thought it had wrongly beed failed. His parting comment was "maybe you should had paid the extra for the $1 re-test". I realize I should have walked when being pressured to pay extra, but then being wrongly failed and shop wants to charge full smog amount again for their mistake. Shops like this should be shut down. this guy seemed like it was a game and the shop would find a way to fail said vehicle. had vehicle failed for a legit cause, I would not have to draft this e-mail or request your time looking into the unscrupulous business practices of this shop.Desired Settlement: Refund for wrongly failing vehicle and SHUT THIS SHOP DOWN. Citrus Heights does not need businesses like this in town.
