Review: On 10/**/20015 My mother, Elena D[redacted] bought an LG Washer Dryer Combo 3997 from this establishment. My mother paid (cash) $1,961.88 for what she was told was a top of the line, easy to use washer /dryer that would be compact enough to fit in her small apartment. My mother was alone on the date she bought ( she does not speak English) the machine and explained to me that the male sales rep's and store manager all insisted that this was the best machine for her and that she would find it user friendly. They also told her that they all had these machines at and that they were so functional and easy.

My mother is disabled and is taking care of her in elderly mother and doing at home hospice and is in dire need of a washer and dryer to help alleviate the harsh load of having to go to a laundromat to do her mothers laundry on a daily basis, and so this lapse in judgement and desperation, I believe drove her to this shady little establishment on that fateful day.

Fast forward to the washer & dryer being delivered to her small apartment, the machines were not only not user friendly, but they seemed to not dry effectively. The clothes would take 8-12 hours to semi dry, so my mother and brother ( [redacted]) contacted the store and explained the situation, the manager told them that this is how the machine functioned, to which my mother replied that she didn't want it then. As she needed something that would be practical and work at a more fast paced then 8 hours to dry., at this point my mother was still in her right to return the machine as it was still well under the 30 days. The manager told her that he would send someone to look at the dryer and see if there was an issue, this service call did not take place for weeks at which point my mother visited the store and started crying. The manager then promptly sent a service repair person who came to see the machine and reiterated that the machine was extremely slow and that this is how it worked. My mother called the store and told them she was going to return the machine, again, at which point the store manager said we cannot accept your return because no body else is going to buy this machine from me. Now this is going on for weeks and then months, and then my mother again visits the store and is very emotional because my grandmother had been in the hospital for weeks and my mom told the store manager that how could he be so heartless and take advantage of her and her dying mother and that she was going to call "[redacted]". He then relented and said that he would give my mom another washer and dryer from the brand Whirlpool.

I became involved when my mother called me and asked me to see if the washer and dryer were comparable to what she paid and so I called and spoke to a store manager who explained that the washer and dryer he would be giving my mom were new and were a much older model but that it was still a good deal, considering he was doing her a favor cause he knew she was going though a lot with her ailing mom. I asked why he was giving her something that was in no way near the price she paid for the LG Combo, this Whirlpool was about $700 less. He said that is all he can do period. In the spirit of coming to a resolution quickly I told him to please deliver it, which took another couple of weeks.

The machine was delivered and when my mom went to use it for the first time the machine was defective. We called the store again who eventually sent a repair person from "[redacted]" who officially deemed the machine is defective actual written statement is " [redacted]"

I contacted Audio City about 10 times since to give them this new information and I am being repeatedly told that the manager is not in and I am being hung up on. I feel I have given them many opportunities to the right thing and it has had no results, but to not even communicate with me and hang up on me is the final straw, please help me.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund for the original amount I paid. That's all I want to have a washer and dryer that works for my mom and ailing grandma.
