I addition to the response that I received from the Revdex.com today, I also received a call from City Auto Sales telling me that my car is ready for pickup - that the anti-lock braking system has now been repaired I mentioned on the phone that I would prefer to get my money back per my request through the Revdex.com but was told that I should talk to the boss about that It was mentioned that, if I no longer wanted the car, they could possibly sell it for me on consignment for a reduced fee I asked if the boss could give me a call so that we can discuss. The reply that came back from City on the Revdex.com complaint was that brakes are not covered by their day warranty I would guess that this statement is true for wear items such as brake pads but I was told at the time that I purchased the car with the brake light on and the anti-lock brake light which came on in the first few day of driving that these issues would be fixed as soon as they could schedule the car in their shop Their promise to me at the time of sale and their subsequent actions show me that the faulty wheel position sensor (which I diagnosed for them) is an item that they consider to be covered by their warranty.Based on my history with this company I really don't know if the car has been fixed at this point I would not be surprised if the lights all cam back on the first week of driving I have owned this car for well over a year paying transfer, registration fees and insurance costs for that period of time and have only had use of the car for approximately two months during that time I believe that my request for refund of my purchase price of $as detailed in my original complaint is a fair solution but would be somewhat open to other solutions if they contact me again but do not see a situation where I have to pay them to resell my car after what has transpired as fair.I don't know if the Revdex.com could mediate in a situation such as this but I would certainly be interested that is the case

This company has not once tried to contact me to resolve this issueI was the one that attempted to contact them multiple times, I finally just paid out of my own pocket to get the issues fixed, due to the companies lack of integrity and customer satisfaction

Review: I Bought a used car a 2002 Honda Civic, and it had a 1 month, 1000 Mile warranty on the vehicle. When I purchased the car it stated in writing that everything on the vehicle was in great working order and all functioned properly. I purchased the car Saturday August 3rd and the test drive seemed great. Then when I was on my way home I started noticing a slight grinding sound and popping noises. So immediately Called them and left them a message letting them know the car is having serious issues. I Returned the Car Monday August 5th as soon as the Business Opened. They said they would like me to bring it to them so they could fix it as it would be cheaper for the and faster for me. They found that a Bearing in the transmission was shot and the bushings in the control arms were also bad. I took it to auto zone before I returned it for a diagnostic test. the diagnostic test said either the V-tec in the motor is Failing and/or an 02 sensor(s) are bad and telling the diagnostic test its the V-tec in the motor going bad. The car has 150,000 miles on it. also the radiator was spraying Anti-freeze all over the motor. I've tried calling them almost everyday since I Returned the car and the owner Brent always tells me it will be done tomorrow, that was for about the first 2 - 2 1/2 weeks. Now he ignores my calls and the people at the car lot say they cant get ahold of him either. It seems like they are trying to screw me on my warranty as it is up on the 3rd of September. I also fear they are going to get a really high mileage transmission from a junkyard and put it in the car, and say its all fair now.

List of problems with the Car

- Transmission is bad on the car and the Clutch is Going out.

- V-tec is going Bad on the Car.

- 02 Sensor(s) are bad on the Car.

- Bushings are out in the control arms and the alignment is off.

- Radiator is Spraying antifreeze.

- Car stereo is not working properly. only playing in rear speakers.

All of this was covered under my warranty.Desired Settlement: I would Like to have My Car back in Great Working Order with a Renewed Warranty since I only drove the car about 100 miles at the most, and only had it in my possession for 2 days. OR I would like all of my money back and they can keep they car.

I paid $5000 for the car and I think they have been more than ridiculous about their customer support. I've been car less this whole time. and they keep giving me a runaround. Please help me.

Response:

Hi [redacted] I still haven't heard anything from city auto sales. do they have

a time limit to respond or what?, cause I am still car less and it

really sucks. Please let me know whats going on. Can you call them or

something? it would be greatly appreciated, Thank you.

I went the lot at City Auto sales knowing it was a used car lot. I was checking out a car it was a blue Kia. They assured me this would be reliable form of transportation for my New and growing family. Having heard a few negative things about the lot I of course went to get a second opinion. Only to find out that I would need to stick at least an additional 1500 dollars in the car to make it safe for my infant son to ride around in. Upon returning the car they still continued to insult my intelligence by telling me they have been driving it around and have found no problems with the vehicle. It disgusts me that snakes like this are still in business and would attempt to take advantage of a young growing family. The business practices they use are far from ethical and down right dirty.

Review: I purchased a vehicle from City Auto Sales over 1 year ago and they have still not fixed the brake problems that showed up within the first 30 days after I purchased the car per their warranty. The brake light was on when I test drove the car which I pointed out to the salesman and he said that it was not a problem - there was nothing wrong with the car per their mechanic but that he couldn't reset the warning light on this model - if I could bring it in in the next couple of weeks they would take care of it. Before I purchased the car they asked if it was OK if they used their mechanic or if I had one I preferred. I told them I was OK with using their mechanic as long as the problem was resolved.

Within the next couple of weeks the anti-lock brake light also came on which I called them on right away and brought the car in to be fixed within the 30 day period. They had the car for several weeks and, after probably a dozen calls they returned the car to me - no warning lights were on. Within a couple of days, both brake warning lights came back on, I called and they said that they could not get the car back in for several weeks - there was nothing wrong with the car and it was safe to drive but that they couldn't get it back in for a few weeks. I basically parked the car for a couple of months before they got it in again, they had the car for a few days, I got the car back and in a few more days the same lights came back on. I needed a car to drive so I drove it more this time after I called them told them that the car still had the same problem and was told that they could not look at it for several weeks.

I drove it for a few weeks and noticed that sometimes the warning lights would go off and that when the brakes were applied there was a significant vibration in the brake pedal and that effort to apply the brakes increased significantly. I called and told them, after some searching on the internet, and told them that I thought that the car had a defective wheel position sensor and that it could be dangerous if unresolved. I parked the car again and took it in within the next few weeks.

They have basically had the car ever since. I typically call a couple of times a week to see how things are going and I get put off because the owner is the only one that knows what is going on. I have been promised that the owner ([redacted]) will call me back probably 30 times and he has never called back. Once in a great while I do get him when he answers the phone by pure luck and he gives me an update - supposedly for the past few weeks the car has been in another shop in Holmen Wisconsin and that parts have been ordered. I called again yesterday and was told that I would definitely get a call back before the end of the day - no call.

I bought this car for my son for college. He did not need it last year but he needed it for a summer job in Wooster, Ohio and needed it to get to graduate classes at the University of Houston (Texas). I was concerned about having him drive this car if the power brakes quit working on him - particularly because he had not driven a lot of long distance or large city driving. He received his undergraduate degree from college in La Crosse. I gave him my most reliable car for the summer and pretty much biked to work myself and ended up buying another car for him in the fall when he left for college.Desired Settlement: I would like to get my money back. The car is a Mazda Protege 5 with less than 100,000 miles and I purchased it for $4000.00. Within the first 30 days I brought it to the dealer'e attention that the CD and cassette players did not work. They said that that only drivetrain items were covered under their warranty but that they said that they could install one for me if I brought one in. They (their mechanic) recommended a model so when my son was between spring classes and his summer job he purchased that model and took it in for installation. I believe that it cost about $150.00 (I can get the receipts from him) with the mounting plate. I picked it up and they charged me $65.00 for installation - I really couldn't believe it but I just wanted to be done with them by this time. The brakes were the big issue on my mind and I wanted them fixed before my son left for the summer.

I paid significant amount for title transfer, registration and insurance for the last year and probably only drove the car for two months in that time. I would settle for $4200.00 to cover what I put into the car the way it sits or I would probably take $4000.00 if they give me back the radio and mounting plate. I have asked for my money back on several occasions over the last couple of months but have been told that could not do that and the subject changed quickly. I do not believe that I would be treated fairly if I was to receive a different car from this dealer - I'm sure the price would end up being inflated on anything I would want.

After a year + I really do not want to deal with this business any more.

Response:

This vehicle was purchased with a 30 day 1,000 mile power-train warranty. Any brake issues would not have been covered under this warranty.
