Reference ID: [redacted] To Whom it May Concern:In regards to the complaint filed against City Collision Incin which [redacted] alleges City Collision Incor an employee within has damaged a touch screen within her vehicle, responsibility is deniedHer vehicle arrived at our facility on November 9th for repairs to her vehicle, which was completed on December 1stShe picked her vehicle up on the same day as completionShe called City Collision Incon Saturday, December 2nd to ask about the damage to the touch screen, the day after the vehicle left our facility, and spoke with an employeeThat employee was unfamiliar with the vehicle and referred her to a different employee that would be back in the office the following Monday. The letter we received states that she spoke to an employee on December 3rd, which would not have been likely, as City Collision Incis closed on SundaysWhen she brought the vehicle back to City Collision Incon Monday, December 4th, two employees inspected the damage. The scratches in question are highly unlikely to have occurred at City Collision IncThe depth and intensity of each scratch suggests a certain level of force and hardness of material, which could not have occurred while our employees cleaned the interior of the vehicleAll materials used during the detail process after a repair is specifically designed to eliminate any risk of damage to the interior of the vehicleOur detailers have also been specifically trained in the use of said products, and as a result, have not received complaints of similar damage in any of approximately three thousand vehicles that come through our facilities on a yearly basis.During the repair process, prior to final detail, our technicians our allotted storage areas specific to each technician, and operate under strict direction to not store parts or tools within a vehicle for the duration the vehicle is at ou.r facilityWithin each repair, great lengths are taken to protect the vehicle as much as possible ranging from protective barriers placed over openings to a protective coating applied to the exterior the vehicle. At no point during this process would any object capable of this damage be near this section of the vehicleThis is a direct result of a strict procedure specifically designed to eliminate incidents of this nature.Even without responsibility of aforementioned damage, City Collision Incis willing to work to alleviate this issueCity Collision Incis willing to provide the installation labor without chargeThis would only leave the cost of the part and calibration (which must be completed at a dealership)With a used touch screen, we approximate this expense would be in the range of roughly $Due to the nature of this repair, we would require payment in advanceIf necessary, City Collision Inccan set up a rental with a local rental agency, however, this expense would be a responsibility of the customer and not included within the already mentioned approximated cost. For further clarification on this matter, please contact me directly.Michael S [redacted] Office Manager City Collision Inc[redacted] ***
