And when you try to talk with someone they are so rude and don’t even let you talk .Desired Settlement: the manager or owner [redacted] don't want to give me a refund and he tell me to take it to judge judy

Response:

Received your letter [redacted] attended an Annual class on 11/*/13 the same class he attended on 11/**/10, he received his training certificate and departed. Employers must have that certificate in order to hire. If the school is not to his liking, go somewhere else. He signed a non-refundable contract on both occasions. This school has nothing to do with processing his license, he definitely doesn't know how to proceed. This letter is the first I have heard of him.

Review: In September I attended the school City Investigative Security School to finish a two day class that I was suppose to take for my job. My employer required me to take this class and City Investigative scammed me. I was scammed by a person named [redacted]. He scammed me because he did not tell me anything about their refund policies. [redacted] ignored me. I was very offended. They did not verbally tell me anything and when I asked questions I did not get an answer. Before taking the second part of the class I asked for my money back and got no response so I was forced to take the class. I did not take the class yet when I asked for my refund and he did not answer my question. That same day he scammed other students as well but they just accepted the loss and went home. I am filing this complaint because this issue is affecting me. I do not have a lot of money because I do not work full time and this loss is affecting me. I spent $85 (eighty five dollars) at the school and I have proof that I spent the money. I am not financially stable so this has affected me deeply. I hardly have any money. [redacted] said I failed the test for the class which is the 16 Hour OJT class. I went to his school in August and took my 8 Hour Pre-Assignment which has a test and I passed but I do know that it is not a requirement by NY State to give a test for the 16 Hour OJT class because other students have attended the school and never took a test. Since a test is not required by the class I should receive my certificate or just receive a refund of the $85 (eighty five dollars) I spent. I have a witness if needed that has attended his school and never took a test for the 16 Hour OJT class. I am very upset by all of this because he did not want to work things out with me when I tried to resolve the matter. He even tried to push and grab my phone out of my hand while I was on it so it can break so I wouldn't have any witnesses or evidence. [redacted] is very rude and only cares about taking students' money. I hope I can get a refund so this issue can be resolved.Desired Settlement: I think the business has a responsibility to refund me to resolve this issue. I would like a refund of the $85 (eighty five dollars) that I spent.

Response:

[redacted] signed a non refundable contract on 9/**/13, he agrees to participate in the full course & complete an examination thereafter. A determination by the

School as to student's successful completion of the course will be the sole determination of the school and the student waives all rights to appeal such determination either administratively or in a court of law. The non-refundable fee for attendance in the program is $85.00 per student.

Sign posted in classroom stating you must attend the whole class & you must pass the examination.

The State mandates that a test be given & the minimum passing grade on the state test is 70%. A 44% is a failing grade which is less than chance
