Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2016/03/04) */
Ms. [redacted] did not fulfill the terms of her lease agreement. Her final rental payment was not paid and was subsequently deducted from her damage deposit.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 12, 2016/03/07) */
(The consumer indicated...

he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not accept their response because they are charging me rent for January which is not possible hence, I moved out December 31st. On November 17th I went into the City limits office and met with Amy the property manager and signed a proper notice to vacate the premises on December 31st 2015 on the notice I propsed and amy accepted by signing it also states that my deposit would not be allocated towards any vacancy of the apartment which is what they are trying to do. Furtheremore a move out inspection was performed. Originally scheduled for December 31st 2015 but due to management we had to reschedule the appointment for January 2nd 2016 at which time papers were signed and the keys were accepted and returned to the management. After January 2nd 2016 I no longer had any access to the apartment. When I received the letter from city limits January 13 2015 stating they were charging me for January rent I contacted their corporate office several times and was eventually contacted by Brian who said Amy didn't have authorization to sign the form and therefore it was not a proper notice, however she is the property manager and I have never dealt with anyone else. Since then brian has accepted they notice stating that it is still not a proper notice because it does not have the company name on it or something to that effect. So I sent amother email in January requesting a follow up walkthrough, via email city limits responded saying that it would not be possible for me to enter the premises because it had already been repainted and the carpet shampooed. They cannot keep my deposit and charge me rent for an apartment that I can not access and that they are remodeling preparing for future tenants. I took all of the steps necessary upon vacating the property and need my deposit returned. They are unorganized and their story keeps changing they even tried to charge me for the carpet and paint saying I lived their less then a year when I called them and had them check their records because I lived there 2 years. They sent me the wrong rent amounts for my taxes and are even unclear about who has authorization over what. These are low income apartments and I feel they are taking advantage of tenants not knowing there rights had my accountant not looked over the paperwork I would have never known. Please help resolve this and I appreciate your efforts in resolving this unnecessary situation.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 17, 2016/03/24) */
I can appreciate that we have a difference of opinion and while I respect what Ms. [redacted] says, I stand by my original statements.
