City Motors Company Reviews (9)

I bought a car from City Motors with the understanding that I'd need to put about $into it for new wheelsAs it turns out, I've had to put over $1,into it, just to make it safe and driveableApparently, [redacted] is unable to make a decision without the approval from someone named [redacted] which has made this situation much longer than it needed to beIt's a shame that City Motors could have made this entire situation right with just a few hundred dollars and they have chosen to make a bad business decisionAll I'm asking for them to do is the right thingI knew that I'd have to put some work into the Jeep, but not $1,worth of work!

I am hideously offended that this company is still allowed to operate with the incompetence shown before me. I would have been able to realize their atrocious mistake earlier if it were not for the fact that I have a credible job that requires a lot of my time and have a limited schedule to conduct tasks such as spending a lovely hour at the DMV only to find out that I am being forced to pay sales tax once again for the vehicle in question. I would not have even thought twice about purchasing this vehicle if sales tax was a separate charge as I was seeking an all-inclusive price. I was taken advantage of because I had never before purchased a vehicle at a dealership and will never be doing so again for the rest of my life as apparently the only reason they exist is to scam honest people out of money. Had I would have noticed the obvious mistake on their behalf sooner I would have demanded a full refund and taken my business else where, but then again I was not expecting to be taken advantage of so grievously. I will not let this matter rest until I am refunded the amount I am due.

I bought a car from City Motors with the understanding that I'd need to put about $350 into it for new wheels. As it turns out, I've had to put over $1,700 into it, just to make it safe and driveable. Apparently, [redacted] is unable to make a decision without the approval from someone named [redacted] which has made this situation much longer than it needed to be. It's a shame that City Motors could have made this entire situation right with just a few hundred dollars and they have chosen to make a bad business decision. All I'm asking for them to do is the right thing. I knew that I'd have to put some work into the Jeep, but not $1,700 worth of work!

I am writing in response to a complaint filed by [redacted]. On or about 05 OCT 2015 Ms [redacted] came to us looking for a vehicle. After test driving and inspecting our vehicle she began to negotiate a price on this vehicle. We went back and forth on the terms of the sale several times. We finally...

landed on a price of $7,300. She was informed several times the she would be mailed all of the paperwork required to pay her taxes and other DMV fees at her local DMV. In addition to being told several times that she would have to go to her local DMV, she also signed her bill of sale stating that she had not yet paid her sales tax and DMV fees. No where on our bill of sale was that listed. During the purchase I also told Ms [redacted] that she had up to 30 days to go to the DMV to pay her fees and get her title and registration. She called me 22 days after the sale to discuss this. During this phone call Ms [redacted] was very irate. She was cussing and making various threats. It was impossible to have a rational conversation with her. I feel Ms [redacted] may have been confused due to the negotiation. But the terms of the sale were clearly laid out and the bill of sale which she signed was very clear in the fact that she had not yet paid taxes and would have to do so to obtain her title, tags and registration. In her complaint to you she mentions that she is sure we have cheated other people. I find this very offensive and slanderous. We have been in business for nearly 2 decades and have never had this issue. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. [redacted]General ManagerCity Motors Co, llc

We use City Motors for all of our vehicles, both personally and for our business. The staff is extremely helpful and we have always found the prices to be incredibly fair. Great people to work with!

dishonesty company to deal with..Sold a car to us that they knew had been wrecked and was a lemon, failed to mention any of this in the sale...Havent had the car 6 months and was told by another honest mechanic that me and my 3 children should never been driving this car and was very unsafe....hard working husband who supports us and cant afford the repairs we have had to do this far and so much more that needs to be done...My car is in the shop and still have no way to get around with 3 small kids....NEVER DO BUSINESS HERE...

Review: I was cheated out of $300 by this business because I was assured that sales tax was included in the purchase price of the vehicle. Upon visiting the DMV to transfer tags I was shocked to find out the paper work was filled out incorrectly. Instead of offering to fix the issue they lied about the fact that sales tax was indeed paid for at purchase time. I'm sure they have cheated other people, not just myself in situations like these.Desired Settlement: I wish to have the sales tax of the vehicle paid for since it was agreed that it would be at purchase. If I am forced to pay it out of pocket, I will seek compensation of the sales tax I am charged as this was fraud on the dealerships part.
