Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I still ended up paying $for the delivery of my items after speaking with [redacted] the "supervisor" for over minutess of back and forth on the phone, she refused to listen, just kept talking over me v.shearing out my frustrations with the company she just kept pushing the knowledge of the "contract"So some how she *** "managed" to discount $from the $total before and told me that they already provided one discount of $as an "inconvenience fee", and what more was I expecting (still insufficient if you ask me and she could have lost the attitude)Working with this company has been a complete nightmareGranted there are some good people that work for the company and then there are others who just do not careMy whole thing is, put yourself in my shoes, I am 99.9% sure you would feel the way I was feeling during this transaction, and you would probably raise all types of hell in regards to your personal itemsIt's a natural reaction when someone's property is being mismanaged or handled in less than professional care, it is spoken uponUpon speaking with ***, I learned that not only did they receive all of my reviews and the complaint I submitted, she claimed that they had responded but they actually had notShe expressed how my reviews and the complaint were damaging their business reputation and that they were still within their "contract" delivery period of days, so forth and so onI asked to speak with whoever was above her position and she 1st stated that there was no one, and then stated that I would hear back from someone that same day in reference to this issue, needless to say that by COB that day, I still hadn't heard from anyoneUpon reserving my delivery date, I learned that my items could have been shipped to the island back in Feb because they had sent several containers, and because of the amount of my items, they could have been combined with another shipmentThat upset me way more than I already wasMy items were delivered on the evening of the 25, the young lady and the gentlemen that assisted from the island were very pleasant to work with, although when they were trying to reach [redacted] to verify if she discounted the shipment they could not get in touch with her, she had not updated my record so the movers knew the correct amount they were to receiveIt was all worked out and they left my itemsUpon delivery, some of my items were missing, boxes smashed up, and so far I am still finding boxes that contain broken itemsSo I am preparing my claim to fileI never plan to work with this company again! I am just glad I finally received my household goods after waiting all of this time.Regards, [redacted] **

We certainly do not want our customers to get the impression that any given job is more important the next All our clients are very important to us, regardless of the size of the shipment, and apologize to Ms*** if she has not felt this way during her experience with usThe reason we put
a delivery time frame of business days on all the paperwork for moves coming/going to Hawaii is due to the logistics involvedThe time frame was not an arbitrary number but rather helps guide our dispatching for each shipment, as well as gives the clients an idea of what to expectUnfortunately, the shipments that are coming from Maryland going to Hawaii are on the longer end of the spectrum as it is one of the longest shipping routesAs it currently stands, the delivery is expected to occur during the contractual time frame and we do not expect the items to arrive outside the agreed upon time frameWe understand the waiting process for the items to arrive is not necessarily an easy process and each of our clients handles the waiting period differentlyNormally we do not offer reductions for shipments that are not considered late nor has there been a breach of contract involved, but we offered a reduction as a courtesy to hopefully end our agreement together on a better noteWe apologize for any confusion or inconvenience, thank you

The ini***l issue began on Jan when I placed the order for pickup of my household items with this company called City Moving and placed the order for my items to be picked up only to find out the guy that submitted the order put inaccurate information on the invoice and that caused the price to go up during pickupWhen the movers from NJ arrived at the residence on the 30th of Jan in ***, MD to pick up my household goods, the mover said that he was only to take boxes per the invoice that he had, which was incorrect I had boxes and other items aswellCome to find out the invoice that was submitted was the estimate invoice which had boxes listed on it, and the other itemsI was pressed for time so I ended up agreeing to the terms, paid the $for the 1st half of payment and I am expected to pay $upon delivery which is for the amount increase while the movers were there because I needed to go clear with the rental office about my moving out inspection

So some how she [redacted] "managed" to discount $100 from the $1200 total before and told me that they already provided one discount of $50 as an "inconvenience fee", and what more was I expecting (still insufficient if you ask me and she could have lost the attitude). Working with this company has been a complete nightmare. Granted there are some good people that work for the company and then there are others who just do not care. My whole thing is, put yourself in my shoes, I am 99.9% sure you would feel the way I was feeling during this transaction, and you would probably raise all types of hell in regards to your personal items. Upon reserving my delivery date, I learned that my items could have been shipped to the island back in Feb because they had sent several containers, and because of the amount of my items, they could have been combined with another shipment.
