City of Fort Collins Utilities

Fort Collin's Utilities has been nothing but a disappointment. Their communication is always abysmal. I closed my account when I was moving out and was told that my final balance was a certain amount. I paid that and assumed that my responsibilities were taken care of. Unbeknownst to me, they claim to have sent me a bill in the mail for my final bill, which I never received. This is despite the fact that I only ever had e-bill's from them. Six months later I received a nasty-gram from a collections agency saying that I had never paid my final bill, even though I had never received one...I had never received, a letter, email nor call regarding their perceived non-payment of this bill that I never received. Their communication is lazy and when I called to complain and pay my final bill, the employees were defensive and unwilling to address my primary complaint which was the fact that I didn't receive a bill prior to receiving a collections notice. If you live in Fort Collins, I'm sorry you have to deal with these people.
