If you want to be treated like garbage, illegally billed and overall mistreated, get your water services from City of Mesa! If you like your customer service non existent this is the place for you Seriously though they have world class worst business practices and customer serviceAnd they think they can get away with it because they are "city" government

This needs to be resolved because the people that work in the customer service are completely rude and only want to be there for a paycheck! It shouldn't matter who pays the bill as long as it gets paid

*** *** ***, In response to the complaint against the Water Department, as I stated previously, the Water Resources Department is not responsible for account set-up, maintenance, or management. The City of Mesa has a Customer Service Call Center managed by the Business Services Department. This is who Ms***r spoke with. It is City Policy to not discuss account information unless the caller is listed as an authorized user on the account. This is for the safety and protection of our customers. It is my understanding that Ms***r was given the option to pay a deposit instead of having a credit check completed to establish an account in her name It appears she selected to have the credit check processed The Service Policy for Utility Customers can be found here Her City of Mesa account covers all City provided services and in this case she is receiving water, wastewater, and solid waste services. I have checked with the Customer Service Group and they have advised that there is no way to reverse a credit check. If Ms***r would like to discuss this further, she should contact the Customer Service Group a* *** ***. I suggest that she ask to speak with a Supervisor. The Supervisor would also be the correct person to discuss the rude treatment that she received The Supervisor will be able to look up the information on the accounts and identify the agent that Ms***r spoke with. I’m very sorry for the loss of Ms***r’s father and the additional stress placed on her while she was trying to do the right thing. Ana, This complaint is really about the Customer Service Call Center which is NOT part of the Water Department.  The bill/account in question is for more than just water service.  It covers ALL of the City services to the house.  We will have to work with that...

This company is a ripe off.since my meter change my water bill has gone from 112-135 a month and our water usage in the house has not changed ..we were gone for 2 months there was 1 person in the house thats never home and our bill still went up..customer service is a joke and they wont tell you where you can file complaints..They wont let you talk to a manager or supervisor the claim that there the only person to talk to!!They insist they read the meters but they dont they estimate at there convenience and I know this because theres always something on my meter ether mud ,leaves ,rocks that have not been disturb so they never read it..Im putting up a camera and lets see them lie about reading the meter..My home has been updated with water saving products I have no yard in the back that needs watering and I have a 5x5 grass area in the front.So how the heck is my bill still keep going up ..SAD!!
