I receive the monthly newsletter with my utility statement. However, I receive my bill at the end of the month, and the newsletter is for the current month (i.e. bill received 10/30, newsletter for October). The month is already over, and I miss actionable information for that month. May I suggest you start sending out the following month's newsletter about the 15th of the month- so those customers billed at month end will get good and current information.

Review: I have been renting my home Since August of 2014. On 3/12/2015 the City of Modesto came and shut off my water. I was unaware that I was supposed to be paying for my water/sewer and garbage Utilities. After 8 months of service I was told I was responsible for paying all of the back due balance since I was living there and my rental agreement states the landlord is not responsible for payment. If I had known that I was responsible for payment I would have been paying this the entire time. Now I have to pay 500 dollars up front or my service will not be started. If it was my responsibility, then why did this take 8 months to stop service and notify me I was responsible for payment. This is unfair and embarrassing. I pay all of my bills on time and in full and had I known about this I would have been paying this bill as well. I told the lady on the phone this and her only response was that a door hangar was left once, which I did not receive, and there is nothing I can do.Desired Settlement: I have no problem paying the required $150.00 deposit. I do not feel like I should have to pay the back owed amount. Due to having a wife and a daughter, I have to front the $500.00 that is being demanded, but I would expect a full refund of said amount.
