City Of Phoenix Water Service Reviews (10)

If I could give 0-stars for customer service at the City of Phoenix water dept, I would. Sheila is a representative who I have dealt with in the past and now had to deal with her again. She was rude, disrespectful, arrogant, defensive and accusatory. How she is allowed to keep her employ with the way she treats people is puzzling to me.

I have been trying to set up an account with city water services. But everytime I try it keeps telling me to change the email. Have many times do I need to do this. I'm on my 3rd attempt and after that forget it. Too much hokey pokey and not enough representatives to help me with this problem.

Also, I had to contact them due to the fact that when I moved 6 months ago, that they didn't stop my service and start my new service up. I was informed that because I didn't say the words stop and start but instead used the word transfer my service that I was responsible for the neighbors (new owners) bill too. How is this possible. When I called and informed them that I was moving, isn't that enough to let them know what was going on.

Although local governments are not members of the Revdex.com, I would be happy to help Ms. [redacted] with this issue.

call requested water service turn off on July 31 from your number at ###-###-#### was not located.  However, I took the liberty of contacting your former landlord who requested service in his name this week and he confirmed that you left the property on July 31, 2015 and that he is responsible for the water usage beginning on August 1st.I have requested that your account be rebilled with a service termination date of July 31st  and I will be able to email a copy of the corrected bill directly to you.  I hope this meets with your approval.Again, our apologies for the mishandling of your dispute and any frustration and inconvenience you experienced.  If I can be of any service in the future, please do not hesitate to contact me.Respectfully,[redacted]Consumer Advocate###-###-####

This utility department has the worst customer service ever!

The quality of the customer service this water department has is the worst I have ever encountered, especially their phone service to utility. When calling all their people are rude, disrespectful, and arrogant. It is truly a pain to try and deal with them. Their department monopolises the needed services and therefore treats people like trash. They do not accept personal accountability for their actions. Really a truly horrible and poor customer service experience. They are rude, disrespectful, and abusive to customers over the phone.

I am (now WAS) moving into a new home with my child. My lease signed, paid for, ready to go, right? No! A year ago a was a lease holder and a room mate had the water in his name. When our household dissolved I paid the bills in my name (with no assistance from the other 3 room mates) (electric, gas, internet totalling almost $1000). My old room mate, he didn't pay the water bill! Now they are holding me liable for the past due amount including late charges. I do not have $441 to pay someone else's bill. I cannot have water turned on at what would have been my daughter's and my new home. Lease xancelled, and now we have nowhere to live at the end of the month. How can I be held liable? The account was in someone else's name! He has even contacted the City of Phoenix to claim full responsibility. Unbelievable and unconscionable.

the business practice of the city of phoenix water and trash service is horrible. I moved from my house of over 20 years where the city of phoenix was my service provider, to another house 3 miles away. They are requiring a deposit for the new service. this is truly horrible customer service. I paid all my bills to them at the previous location , for them to now treat me like I had never done business with them is rude and in poor judgement. I f I could choose another company I would, However since there is a monopoly on this service per area, I am left with their service, which in the end is horrible.

The water department has the worst employee ethics I have come about. Calling them for service is not only a pain but also stressful. The city water department should not monopolise the service and abuse consumers but treat consumers with respect, courtesy and politeness. Even though it has been brought to their attention they refuse to take responsibility for their poor quality of service. This is mainly experienced in the customer service department by phone. Truly the worst service a city has to offer its residents. Rude, npolite and abusive!

The City of Phoenix Water Services is in receipt of your letter regarding Mr. [redacted]’ concern about charges on his city service account.  Mr. [redacted] bill increased in May by $1.45 compared to his April bill when he says he had 2 additional people living at the residence for 2...

weeks. Customer Service staff was in contact with Mr. [redacted] on July 2, 2015 and explained that his sewer fee and trash service are included on his bill each month, not just water service.  The water charges were actually lower on the May bill than the previous month because of the inclusion of a late fee for $1.90 charged because of a missed payment. Mr. [redacted] was also advised that his monthly sewer will be reduced beginning with his July bill.  He expressed an understanding of what was explained. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.
