Review: We received a bill for services, due July 17 2013 ($259.59). Check was written 7/21/13 and cashed 7/26. Photocopy of cashed check available upon request. Error made - funds not credited to our account. We have since received two additional bills, with a final notice of water shut off for August 24. Several lengthy phone calls later - no progress. Water district does not accept cashed check as proof of payment. Requires bank to call them to provide proof that funds were released. Bank does not provide this service. City won't accept bank statement or cashed check as proof of payment. This is clearly a City accounting error that we are being held responsible for - much stress and headache trying to clear up - shades of extortion (e.g. should we pay again even though we already paid once? If we do pay again, what assurance do we have that the same mistake wont be made? Etc.) Would appreciate any help or advice. Thank you.Desired Settlement: For the City to credit the money we have already paid toward account

Review: I was sent a bill of $308.32 because I made a mistake and sent a wrong check so I was charged $150 for a security deposit plus $25 for return fee and 133.32 for 2 months of service which that was made on April 15 2014.Then I got a bill saying I owe 66.66 payment due on May 1 2014 that was Paid on May 5 2014. Then on May 5 2014 I received a letter saying I had credit of 241.66. On May 6 2014 I got another letter saying I owe another 308.32 when I had already made a payment of 308.32 on April. Now I have a letter saying I owe 66.66 that was due on May 1 2014 that was paid on May 5 2014. Last letter says I have a credit of $175 and I called the company because this is really confussing and they told me that I owe 240 not 66.66. I made a payment of 308.32 in April 66.66 in May and now the say I still owe $240 I live on a fix income and cant be paying them 240-308 a month on the services that is about 30% of my income my average payments are about $66 a month.Desired Settlement: I would like for the $240 to be removed as I said I paid in April 308 in May 66.66 and that I still owe 240 that I dont know for what.

Review: Representative: [redacted]

Supervisor: [redacted]

My name is [redacted]. My husband is in the Navy and he went on deployment for 8 months beginning in AUG12 to APR13. Came back to San Diego for couple months then went back on deployment from JUL13 to SEP13.

Due to my husband deployment I flu to Beirut Lebanon form DEC12 and came back in NOV13. I stopped the water by calling Wastewater|City of San Diego before I left.

My husband came back for couple months from deployment MAY13-JUN13 and went back for another deployment from JUL13 to SEP13. I called Wastewater|City of San Diego (from Beirut-Lebanon) to start the water for MAY13 and JUN13. Everybody knows how much time you have to waste while waiting on Wastewater|City of San Diego representative to answer the phone. That's a lot of money that I had to pay for long distance calls (The answer machine ask to leave a phone number so a rep. will call back but I can’t leave a phone number from Lebanon because Wastewater won’t call back a long distance call). In addition the call drops many times and I have to recall and wait again for another representative. After all the time and money wasting, the water starts again in our house.

When my husband came first to the house, he noticed that the water copper pipes was stolen and he couldn't use any water. He didn't fix it because he knew that he is leaving soon and he didn't want that the new copper pipes will be stolen again.

For this reason I started to call Wastewater|City of San Diego to stop the water because we cannot use it. same as before I had to pay for long distance calls and I had to wait for hours and call again after the call drops. and that's a lot of time and money waisting. I couldn't establish any communication with any Wastewater|City of San Diego representative and I rather stopped and tried to waive it until I come back to the state so I can call Wastewater|City of San Diego and fix everything.

When I came back I was shocked by the bills from Wastewater|City of San Diego. I didn't know that I had to pay $135.99 for each two months even if I didn't use any water. I called Wastewater|City of San Diego to know what is going on. [redacted], Wastewater|City of San Diego representative explain that this fee is mandatory even if we didn't use any water. I asked her if they can waive only the base fee. After several calls, [redacted] asked me to send a letter that mentions that the house was vacant and my husband was on deployment. We faxed them this letter and we asked [redacted] to explain to Wastewater|City of San Diego SUPERVISOR, [redacted], how much money and time I've wasted calling Wastewater|City of San Diego and how much money I've lost to fix my copper pipe. And after several calls and a lot of wasting time, the Wastewater|City of San Diego SUPERVISOR, [redacted] refuses to waive the fee. SO today I paid $589.75 total BASE FEE that includes the CITY TREASURER without any water usage (my account shows “0” for water usage).

SO after several failed attempts I'm asking this website to help me solve this issue. My husband was on deployment to serve the country and to protect it and he came back to find out that he got rubbed by theft and by the country that he is protecting.Desired Settlement: Refund at least the BASE FEE.

Review: Since September 2013 have been trying to get credit balance of $146 . Spoke with several employees who either promised a call back from a supervisor or to follow up. Received an affidavit from city of San Diego which I mailed back to them in December 2013 - only to have them tell me they have not received it. They sent another one on Feb 19, 2014. I have asked them to follow up with their accounting dept to see if the check had cleared....if so please provide me with a copy of check.

As of this date have not received refund, nor have they advised me as to whether or not check has been cashed.

Review: I have updated my recurring payment information with this company on multiple occasion yet they are still deducting from an old account and billing me $25 each time they are deducting from the wrong account.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a $75 refund on the return checks and also requesting that they get the correct billing information and stop charging me return check fees.
